Transcript
00:00Schumer, we had a very strong and productive, open-ended, and comprehensive conversation
00:08about the way forward on behalf of the American people.
00:11House and Senate Democrats are in complete and total alignment, as Leader Schumer indicated.
00:18In order to arrive at an appropriations agreement that meets the needs of the American people
00:24in terms of their health, their safety, national security, and economic well-being,
00:30it has to be a bipartisan process that's bicameral in nature.
00:34Democrats, Republicans, House, and Senate.
00:37And as has always been the case, we're prepared to engage in those discussions in good faith.
00:44But House Republicans are not there.
00:46House Republicans are, in fact, marching us toward a possible government shutdown
00:51that will hurt the American people.
00:53We remain ready, willing, and able to have the type of appropriations process
01:01that will yield a good result for the American people,
01:05but that process must be bipartisan and bicameral in nature.
01:13Senator Murray.
01:14Yeah.
01:15You're doing a great job.
