00:00In other news, the Department of Finance stressed that the Philippine economy grew at an average of 5.9%.

00:07This is the fastest-growing Asian economy recorded ever since President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. took office in 2022.

00:15Based on the first quarter data of DOF, the Philippines ranked second after having 5.4% growth rate.

00:22Meanwhile, Vietnam ranked first for having 7% expansion.

00:26To recall, based on the data of Philippine Statistics Authority, or PSA, the first quarter of the Philippine GDP growth rate is faster than the previous quarter, but slower than 5.7% in the same period last year.
