00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. firmly stands to take action against dishonest traders who will manipulate the prices of agricultural products, especially rice.
00:10Based on his speech delivered in his fourth State of the Nation Address held at Batasang Pambansa today, the administration is focusing on dismantling smuggling operations.
00:19The president also warned the traders who will manipulate the prices of agricultural products and stress that the government will hold them accountable and economic sabotage cases await them.
00:31To recall, President Marcus Jr. inked the Republic Act No. 12022 or the Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act last September 2024.
00:40They classified smuggling, hoarding, profiteering, cartels and funding these crimes involving agricultural and fishery products as economic sabotage acts.
