01:33my closet all right what do you say kids you ready all right we're gonna start with an easy one which
01:39King is the messiest oh some people are writing very quick all right show me what you got was that
01:46perka perkinbuck doing a quick tally perka is the messiest y'all seen my online history who's the
01:58therapist of the group let's see what you got we got Moe and Charles you can always just go to Moe for
02:04like what I called the Moe-isms it's just like bits of wisdom that he has to offer and drop on
02:09us all Charlie was just so kind to me and this is a competition you don't have to be kind but this
02:16King right here he takes the time to check in on others I partake in humans that care and thank you
02:23for caring in this world that's some King when I got voted out it could have really been a painful
02:28experience but tuna had a tuna can van ready to take us to take us on trips we're doing a can van
02:34I think it's safe to say this is the first competition show where you're excited to be
02:40eliminated the experience was so good showbiz all right kids who stays up the latest and what the hell
02:47are they doing party room 790 what happens in 794 I can't say because it's TV 14 everyone but Dick
03:00because I think Dick got the most sleep I'm Dick's roomie and DVD just is like okay I'm gonna eat my
03:07food and good night and I'm like how can you sleep by a well-adjusted person what's that like was there
03:12any bromance going on backstage I do have a bromance with Moe I love you Moe share with
03:19us Big D Moe keeps saying he's weirdly attracted to me it has to be weirdly dude I think everybody
03:26is though be attracted to me it's not that hard all right we got both of you in the back there's a
03:32tuna and Alexander spill the tea oh I'd live my tea for tea fantasy with Alexander the Great
03:38I see the fan fiction because there is this one moment in the man cave he looks up and it like
03:45and it's like Twilight you know like glittering in the sun and fantasy I love it tea for tea baby
03:54enough show all right last question who do you think is gonna win the first king of drag
04:01all right kick show me what you got oh wow look at all this okay brick sex okay so here's how I can
04:08still win if we all just text right now honestly I couldn't pick because usually when I go to
04:15competition shows I'm like okay team everyone black team everyone trans team everyone's scary
04:19and you got all three in the finale so it's like I won you won they won everyone watching
04:28so let's get changed we have a big show coming up
04:37guys we made it that's crazy look at us even our frames are cute together I'll just say that
04:55that's crazy I can't believe it how are you feeling bud it's been a very long day yeah it means a lot for me
05:05to be here like I've worked very very hard and I'm also a person that feels very deeply and can honor
05:14and see how hard other people have worked to be on that wall coming from the bottom last week there's
05:23certainly a momentum that I don't love especially getting so close the ability to execute doesn't scare
05:31me but my morale can have me going home with that being said congratulations to you both congratulations
05:39to you both congratulations winner DVD hey somebody decided to show up to work today that was crazy I did
05:47not expect to win anything I have literally been safe this whole time I mean I guess when I lip-sync I
05:53don't play it safe through the course of this experience I was just like what's in the rubric
05:58like let me follow exactly what I think the judges want to see I realized the judges want to see me
06:04I have to be secure in my own art I can't be like waiting for someone else to like tell me you know
06:10we have been so rewarded from speaking and acting from the heart every single time I'm going to the
06:15finale I get to do all these things that I dreamed about I feel like I can finally release that
06:21hesitation that I've been carrying with me since week one imagine one of these heads but with a crown
06:26could we promise to do our best to kick each other's asses as a way of honoring how god damn
06:33good I love all three of us are absolutely let's kick each other's asses yeah oh right there yeah sorry
06:41your ass is already why people with fat asses are crazy don't you isolate them cheeks on your way out
06:50too I would think of it good morning Murray is it morning it's dick o'clock how's it going
07:04the finale's coming up how you feeling it's completely surreal um I've been thinking to
07:12myself about seven years ago I kept pitching these concepts to the artists that I worked with and they
07:18kept being like that is a little too much for me like the suggestions you're making are a little
07:22too extreme I realized then that I was making suggestions for myself so now to be here and have
07:31everyone just completely like accepting oh yeah you know that's Henlo and I'm like wow you know I hope
07:37that you've learned to go full extreme because we love it me too yeah I feel like I've surprised
07:42myself at every turn here and like being vulnerable and sharing that in a way that is working it has
07:48worked you're in the finals I am I'm an old school guy when I started off there was no processing instead
07:57I used camp to deal with these same feelings but it was also masked with a K so when I see all of you
08:03kings up there you're dealing with saying it out loud and you're owning it to be given this platform
08:10and potentially win king of drag would be the ultimate validation you are already validated yeah
08:18the big show can't believe it last week you won the beefy challenge how about that there was a lot of
08:26reaction to my ass yeah yeah you should have seen me struggling through the airport with four of the
08:33largest suitcases and I'm like I didn't need to bring any of them all I needed was one jockstrap and I
08:38would have won every challenge I'm just like who would have known you know what are you gonna do
08:42to center yourself for the big show tonight I'm a Virgo moon and a chronic overthinker and I had like
08:49planned this whole like slam bang like thought out like joke joke joke thing that I was and it had like
08:56sound effects and this whole shenanigans and last night I decided that it was just like not my vibe
09:05anymore I scrapped the whole thing the sisters of perpetual indulgence describe drag as like the
09:12rodeo clown and it's our job to protect the rider from the bull and I think we all know what the bull
09:18is right now and these insane political times that we have and I decided the strongest move I can make
09:25right now with all these emotions is just to be the rodeo clown and make people laugh and give people
09:30joy and remind people like why we need drag now more than ever maybe that's why I wore my rodeo shirt
09:36I don't know you know what that is what showbiz hey no it is the personal is political putting your
09:44heart and yourself into it through your comedy that's like your north star yeah if you always work from
09:50that place the sky's the limit first of all congratulations thank you the last episode it
09:57was so great to see you come out in the interpretive dance what was going on in that moment when you
10:02heard you were advancing I crumbled when I heard we all see your greatness every time I'm on stage I am
10:10emotional what are you gonna do to kind of use these emotions as fuel I'm a very spiritual person I
10:18picked that up and I love that about myself I come from intense people I come from passionate people
10:26this was like my dad's time really yeah my dad and I had a pretty volatile and hard relationship
10:36when I was able to center my drag as a calling instead of an escape our relationship changed I could
10:47see my dad as someone who did his absolute best like I am always thinking that I am my father's daughter
10:54you know and I'm very very proud of that my dad is connected to all of my drag he was always the
11:02most stylish guy in the room he wore bell bottoms and flares he was not a feminine person but what
11:09trends up as masculine and what trends up as feminine is quite arbitrary whether my dad knew it or not his
11:16attachment to his style embodied an expansion beyond gender where I turned to King molasses it is with
11:24the fervor of the way that my father treated himself and took himself so seriously do you think he's
11:31watching you excel and shine oh yeah and expects nothing less on that go get ready showbiz
11:37I'm proud of you bro all right good luck today thank you before you go on tonight north star
11:42north star it's you it's you you're the north star thank you all right get out of here get ready good
11:47luck peace
12:07today we have two challenges as usual but since it's the finale both challenges are equally beefy it's
12:19a double cheeseburger day it's two times the meat after the first challenge one king will be eliminated
12:26which leaves the final two to duke it out for the crown but before we bite out of that beef let's check
12:33in with our finalists Avengers assemble should we get in drag let's just go natural let's just skip
12:43just get out there yeah I do start to feel those nerves especially against two other strong performers
12:51we're just one big trouble I don't know that's it final trouble yeah there's definitely a massive
12:58mixture of emotions happening there's anxiety there's excitement I'm feeling very focused I
13:04really believe in what I'm about to do everyone's been making fun of me because during this competition
13:08I've always been the one that gets the most sleep and last night was the first night that I prioritized
13:13the work over my sleep because I was restructuring my act I'm feeling it like hard this morning today is
13:22the first day that I have felt able to move my body freely in the space I have my comforts my mic stand
13:31songs that I love and with this act it's like I'm finally kind of back in my bag I can show people who
13:39I am yeah we've been here working at our craft but today I get to do what I know and there's no penalty
13:49for that this is all me I'm a dangerous dude when I'm in that spot my whole concept is like I'm gonna
13:56be doing it in face but like it's mostly a cat stand-up more so than a dick stand-up so I feel like
14:02this suit makes the most sense I like this on you yeah and when you're done with it you know my bag is
14:07right here I do drag for me I do drag for other people who can relate to me and I think the most
14:14authentic thing that I can do is tell stories as cat dressed as dick are there lessons that you feel
14:21like you've learned from dick yeah I admire his confidence because I'm an overthinker for me the
14:28separation between dick and cat is less of an internal one and more of an external one for a
14:33moment I'm impersonating white guy privilege like I put on the mustache and people like dick what do you
14:38think oh that's what dick thinks and then I become cat and they're like yeah yeah whatever and I'm
14:43like wait a second oh no I'm seeing too much I'm so excited for your song dude yeah it's been the
14:51thing powering me to get here that I get to share my dad's music my dad is my best friend and every
14:57other best friend I know knows you're in line after him so much of who Henlo bullfrog is is inspired by
15:04my father I paint according to the bone structure my father has I walk the way my father walks and my
15:11father was so moved and inspired by this weird character he wrote the folk song the ballad of
15:16Henlo bullfrog and because Henlo is a shapeshifter people have seen him in so many forms throughout this
15:22competition and now finally they'll know why he is the way he is it is so nerve-wracking to be entering
15:27the finale and bringing something so personal and vulnerable it is more naked than being naked
15:33I feel like a drag queen just throwing my drag on top of everybody else's that's what drag is all
15:39about the process of getting into drag is usually quite a bit stressful I find myself telling myself
15:49like I could do this better I could do this more efficiently and then when the music turns on the
15:53stage lights are up it's like quiet I'm really climbing a mountain to get to my happy place you
16:01don't see something cool this is my mini fog machine I built a wig cage with a hinge there
16:06it is oh my god Henlo's having his first idea ever with a wig reveal especially with the fog machine
16:15inside of it a million things can go wrong a little more time to polish it you know would have been ideal
16:19but uh we're moving at a very quick pace here oh my god I'm so nervous you guys I want you to take care
16:27of yourself oh I I did not even have the energy to know how to do that I'm just like literally trying
16:33not to throw up I'm feeling tired I'm feeling terrified I had felt good about changing my concept
16:41but as someone who struggles with remembering things being under all this pressure and not having enough
16:47sleep it's very nerve-wracking to have to like try to memorize this thing and look confident at it
16:53all of a sudden it feels like a very scary decision to make oh my god can you imagine packing we're all
17:00gonna be so wiped out I for real feel unwell can I have a trash can keep walking dude we got it keep
17:08walking there's a lot of anxiety coursing through my brain and my body there are seven kings who worked
17:15really hard to get here who would love to be in this chair painting right now I think that's what's
17:21affecting me is like I didn't even like mine enough to do the thing that I like worked hard on you know
17:26I like bailed at the last minute and meanwhile all these other kings had something really cool and like
17:31would take up better space on TV than whatever I was gonna say I never imagined making it to the
17:40finale of this competition and now I'm here and I think I'm struggling to feel like I earned it I
17:45can't imagine the stress that dick is going through like the day of the finale feeling that bad I'm just
17:53caught up in oh no I'm just like spiraling my brain I feel like is like churning like at like twice its
17:59normal speed in this moment I'm going back and forth like do I just quit yeah I'm a real king
18:29DVD is definitely on my mind I really hope just his circumstances can change it's it's unsure right
18:44now but yeah I feel like not only am I trying to like do well for myself but it's it's an immense
19:00amount of pressure to feel like I'm trying to make every wonderful beautiful drag king I've ever known
19:05and loved like proud at the same time I desperately want to go on I desperately want to compete but I
19:10just physically don't know if I can I decide to listen to my body and rest and just hope that that
19:18helps and hope that I'll have enough time to still frankly participate oh here comes the anxiety I have
19:25brought the ballad of Henlo Bullfrog live playing it with my dad on drag stages but the way I'm mixing
19:31it with Henlo's actual origin story is totally new I literally finished editing the final mix last night
19:38and it's scary oh this is my first like one man little theater production well if it doesn't land
19:45I still did what was important to me Henlo is going to present something unique that plays to their
19:53strengths as a visual artist I'm doing what I do several nights a week which is to lip sync and the
20:01judges may think that that just might be a predictable route because every time we get on that stage with
20:07something to prove I feel like something incredible happens I'm doing a go-go piece I'm really excited
20:12about that I'm sorry you guys I walk I think the most slowly I have ever walked into the man cave it
20:22smells like dick von barf over here I'm feeling better I can't believe I narfed in front of both
20:29contestants there's something about you that said narf you know yeah this is just so on brand of me like
20:35pushing through I've been doing drag for 10 years and this feels like the pinnacle moment my athlete
20:40brain takes over and is like you have to keep going like you have to keep going like for them you have
20:45to keep going for the Kings who applied and didn't make it you have to keep going like for yourself we
20:50are so close to the sprint at the end and we're gonna get there I've got my eye on that prize I am
20:57so ready to win they could turn the corner on me so I'm doubling down and to be honest with you I did
21:06not prepare an exit line welcome back to the Royal Hall for one final strut please welcome again the
21:21inaugural cast of king of drag tuna melt buck wild

22:31actor and award-winning playwright of Oh Mary Cole Escola
22:36Kings Court we've made it
22:41our final three kings have battled their way to the finale at the end of this challenge only two kings
22:51will be left standing this is the best of the best in this country and any one of them could be the
22:58finalists tonight they each have three minutes to do whatever they want putting their best foot
23:05forward everybody right all right here we go now presenting the ballad of henlo bullfrog
23:13bullfrog the gates to heaven are deep within the bowels of hell the gates to heaven are always
23:21guarded the gates to hell are not every 10 years the fairy realm sends a tithe of seven creatures to
23:29guard the gates of heaven this year they sent henlo bullfrog a changeling changed by his years and other
23:35worlds they don't know he's got a plan henlo bullfrog will crawl from hell to get back to earth he'll tear
23:42down the gates of heaven to do it
23:44I seduced the seven lords of hell to open the gate of heaven I'm a shapeshifter I became what they wanted
23:57most the lord of lust didn't want another lover they wanted a true friend the lord of envy wanted someone
24:03who'd freely celebrate them and their successes I didn't trick a single lord of hell they gave me
24:08their keys freely but when I went to open the gate I couldn't go through I was still cursed to stay
24:14where my masters put me is this enough isn't this enough I deserve it I want it the most open damn you
24:21I tried the gate again every day wearing the curse down little by little five minutes a day of anything
24:25is enough to cast a new spell on your life
24:27I'm not a demon I'm not a fairy or a frog I'm just a man I want to go home
24:46this is heaven anyone who can get here can stay I can hear the sounds of earth it's so close I'm going
25:00home and what will you do when you return to earth all your plans are just to get there I'm going to
25:05rest and I'm going to spend time with my friends and family the people I love are my home if they
25:11were still in hell I would stay there and by taking care of each other we would make hell a paradise
25:16stay with us I'm going home
25:18oh hello hello bullfrog your skin is clanny and cold there's water dripping from your coat tails
25:28you're a frog down in your soul
25:31every moment and detail in the ballad of henlo bullfrog is so personal to actual things that
25:53it feels very exposing for me so I'm a little nervous there's a lot riding on this it's the finale
25:59they're asking for perfection the race is on we got anybody from the fire department here
26:05anybody next up dick von dyke's unforgettable experience
26:12thank you so much kings judges I'm so excited to be here tonight I've been up here all season long
26:24just out here dicking around for you and I decided instead to do something real you want to see
26:28something real yeah good yeah consent's a good way to start anyway my real name is cat and before
26:35drag was my day job I used to work in senior living which reminds me is it too late to give
26:41Murray Hill my card my card by the way is just a dick pic just so you know when I used to work
26:48in senior living I loved it because half my residents thought I was a nice young lady named cat
26:54and the other half of my residents thought I was a nice young man named pat and as long as the two
27:00groups never compared notes I didn't give what they thought so uh um I had this one resident in
27:05particular he would wake up the same way every single day he'd awaken in a jolt okay I'd bring him
27:10his newspaper cat I know you're gay but if anyone gives you trouble about it tell him to come talk
27:20to me he was like 800 years old and still terrifying so good the other thing about dementia care much
27:28like lesbianism is house cats are good for morale so naturally I made sure my residents had a house
27:34cat for my own morale and uh there was this one resident in particular who really against all odds
27:42fell in love with this cat it was this woman and this cat they did everything together it was the woman
27:47and the cat they ate breakfast I mean they were inseparable and if we couldn't find one or the other
27:52we would look under each other's beds you know and it was really it was a beautiful relationship
27:56until the day when the cat died oh and yes and I realized that it was going to be my job to deliver
28:04the news that this woman's cat had died me a cat lesbian I prepared a beautiful speech I was practicing
28:11and practicing and I showed up to her room and I sat down and it sounded something like this
28:16listen I know you and this cat you had beautiful memories together and although we won't be able to
28:31make any more memories those memories live in our hearts forever you know she looks at me she thinks
28:41about it she goes you mean to tell me we have a cat and that they taught me a valuable lesson that you
28:52know as long as you're doing what you love whether you win or you lose somebody will always forget about
28:59you so thank you god I can't wait to sit down can someone please get me some more electrolytes but
29:13I'm really proud of that being the last thing I do on this show wow two scorching hot performances and
29:21we got one more to go but first I got to see a man about a horse
29:51all right welcome back everybody what an incredible display of showmanship and now without further ado

32:53Yeah!
32:56Oh, man.
33:02Finally, because I was doing what I chose to do,
33:06hearing a song that I love and being able to get lost again means everything.
33:12It just felt like alignment.
33:13At this point now, it's completely up to the judges.
33:17What a show!
33:20Thank you, King James!
33:21Yes!
33:22Oh, G-pop!
33:25We're down to the final three.
33:28And now we're going to toss it to the King's court.
33:31Tenderoni, what did you think of Henlo's performance?
33:34Hi, Henlo.
33:35Hello, Tenderoni.
33:36I loved your performance tonight.
33:38I love that it was just signature Henlo.
33:40Stuff that you bring is stuff that I've never seen before,
33:43and I always appreciate that from you.
33:44I felt the love.
33:45I felt the inspiration.
33:46You showcased your strengths with the wig, the effect.
33:50It reminded me of, like, a prologue in a video game.
33:53It really taught me a lot about you, and I loved it.
33:56Thank you so much.
33:57You were really passionate.
33:58I could see it.
33:59And so I was like, I have to get into the storyline.
34:01Like, I have to get what he's saying.
34:02But I kind of got a little bit lost.
34:05I will agree with Mick.
34:07I was a little lost with what was going on.
34:10But I loved your passion.
34:12I get that my drag may not appeal to everyone.
34:15I don't think any one person's drag is totally universal.
34:18This is art.
34:19It sucks.
34:20But I'm proud as hell.
34:22I wouldn't change it.
34:23Dick Von Dyke.
34:25Stand-up is so hard.
34:27And the fact that you chose that as your closing act is so impressive.
34:31I think it paid off this week.
34:33You're just such a confident performer.
34:35You come out there and just command the stage.
34:37It is so refreshing to see a funny drag king comedian.
34:43We never see any of those.
34:45Ever, ever, ever, ever.
34:50I think maybe the closing line could have been a little bit stronger.
34:54I would have loved to see a little more sparkle in your look.
34:57You know, it's very important when we're in front of the lights in an audience to have
35:02that little bit of sparkle.
35:03But I was giggling the whole way through, and I really enjoyed you.
35:06I feel really grateful for the judges' feedback.
35:09I'm glad they liked it.
35:11But my favorite part was that Murray loved it.
35:14I just admire Murray so much.
35:18King Molasses.
35:19Oh, Molasses, I am obsessed with you.
35:22I think your body control is just so beautiful.
35:25I think we all wanted to be that mic stamped.
35:28A true Molasses performance today.
35:32You have it.
35:33I'm entertained.
35:34I'm intrigued.
35:35I want to see more.
35:37From your cummerbund to the robe, like, everything told me something important about you.
35:42You're so, like, masculine, but I love the feminine touch.
35:46What's the concept of using the robe with this look?
35:49My drag aesthetic is masculine and feminine, and I find them both relative to each other.
35:55That robe and this suit are sentimental.
35:59This was my dad's tie.
36:01I lost my dad three years ago, and if there's anything that I wanted to leave on this show,
36:06I think I thought it was to honor your mother and your father and your family.
36:12But tonight, I think that I just need to honor me.
36:15Thank you for sharing that.
36:19I lost my dad three years ago also, and I know how hard it is to carry a memory of somebody with you everywhere that you go.
36:26It's just so beautiful to see where you've come in this competition and where you're going, because the sky is the limit for you.
36:34Thank you so much.
36:35I see myself in all of those judges.
36:38The feedback that I got is telling me that I'm not a fluke.
36:43Where I'm going is where you all are sitting.
36:46Thank you, judges.
36:48Thank you, kings.
36:49Please head back to the man cave while the court deliberates, and great chapter three.
36:54Yay!
36:58Aw!
37:00That's okay.
37:04I'm so proud of us, you guys.
37:06I'm so proud of us.
37:07Woo-wee!
37:10Last three boys.
37:12Look at this.
37:13That's the next team, king.
37:14Yes!
37:15Hello, top three.
37:17Yay!
37:19All right, guys.
37:27We have to send two of the kings into the second part of the finale.
37:30What did you guys think of Henlo?
37:31It kind of got lost with the storyline, and then also, he really didn't know the words.
37:36The lip sync was just, like, not tight enough for best drag finale moment for me.
37:42The look was amazing.
37:43The effect was great.
37:44I mean, it was classic Henlo.
37:46But I agree.
37:47I didn't understand the story.
37:48Well, I understood it perfectly.
37:50I don't know why you all were struggling.
37:52I knew exactly who he was from the second he stepped on the stage.
37:56His looks are always super, super strong, and he always thinks of them from head to toe.
38:01But sometimes he gets a little bit caught up in the craftsmanship and the look that he forgets
38:05about the showmanship, because when you're doing drag, it's like 50% looks, but also 50% performance.
38:10And I think that he might have sacrificed a little bit of the performance side today.
38:14It feels a lot like summer camp, in that, like, no one except the people who were there
38:18are really going to understand what it was like.
38:20Henlo, I love you.
38:22DVD, I love you.
38:25Mo, I love you.
38:27All right, let's talk about Dick Van Dyke.
38:29Dick is just so confident.
38:33I mean, I'm a professional.
38:35Period.
38:35I think it's really crazy that he chose to do stand-up.
38:39Like, the instruments and the artistry and just so many things he can do.
38:42So even though I enjoyed it, I want to see everything.
38:45It was so effortless.
38:47He made it look so easy.
38:48So that is a really hard thing with comedy, to make it look like he's just speaking off
38:52the cuff and nailing the punch lines.
38:55Yeah, and you can also tell, too, that there was an authentic story, because when you tell
38:58the truth, you don't have to guess.
39:00So he was able to, like, just keep going.
39:02I thought it was great.
39:03I was not excited about the look.
39:06Throw some rhinestones, give us a pop.
39:08It's drag.
39:09I just want glitter, like, rhinestones, look at you.
39:12What they don't do, Tenderoni makes up for.
39:14Yeah, literally, I'm like, throw some at him.
39:17Like, if you're going to do 70s, make it Vegas 70s or something.
39:20Literally, yeah.
39:22Okay, let's talk about King Molasses.
39:24There was never a dull moment at all in Molasses' performance.
39:28Every movement was so thoughtful and thought out.
39:32And I never wondered where it was going.
39:34Fully in it, the second I see his face on that stage, I'm just like, take me there, baby.
39:39And I love that.
39:41I just think he got the juice.
39:42It's like, you know when you see something and you're like, oh my God, like, it's like
39:45a star of power that he has.
39:47To me, that personal touch of his family and his heritage, he's a total star.
39:53All right, everyone, destiny awaits.
39:55Let's find out what it is.
39:56Who's destiny?
39:57Oh, oh.
39:59Oh, showbiz?
40:01Oh, showbiz!
40:04Kings, welcome back.
40:06You are the top three finalists out of hundreds and hundreds of applicants.
40:12I want you to pause for a minute and be proud of yourself, okay?
40:15We have thrown so much at you, and you are still the last Kings.
40:21Yes!
40:22Yes!
40:24It's time for the court's royal decree.
40:28I got no negative feedback.
40:32Not even really ambivalent.
40:34I'd say it's probably one of the best sweeps I've had in the competition.
40:39Tenderoni.
40:40We have decided.
40:43The beauty and drawback of art sports is that it is deeply subjective.
40:48That this is who I am.
40:49Is this going to be my last moment in the fight?
40:51Or is this going to be the moment that I ascend?
40:54The king we are not sending through to the final challenge is...
40:59I never thought I would get an opportunity to be here at all.
41:03So, I feel very secure in this being an experience for the sake of itself.
41:09And I don't need external validation more than that.
41:17Hello, bullfrog.
41:20It was just within my grasp.
41:23And then it wasn't.
41:25And that's okay, but...
41:27It still sucks.
41:29At this point, we're just splitting hairs.
41:33So, I don't want anyone to feel bad on this stage.
41:35Because you guys all brought an amazing, amazing performance.
41:38The three different styles of drag that you guys bring forward.
41:42This was a perfect end cap to this season.
41:45Thank you, guys.
41:46Henlo bullfrog.
41:48You made it to the top three.
41:50What an achievement.
41:52Give yourself a round of applause, please.
41:54Yeah!
41:54I'm thrilled for Dick and Moe.
41:59I'm proud of you.
42:00I'm proud of you too, buddy.
42:01I love these guys.
42:02Like, how can I not be happy for them?
42:04I love you so much.
42:06Top three is something I can take back to Philly with pride.
42:10Henlo, before you go, do you have any parting words?
42:14Yes.
42:15It is never too late to become who you want to be.
42:18And go beyond your wildest dreams.
42:21I know I have.
42:22Also, Dad, I brought your art and music to the world.
42:27Everybody's gotten to hear your voice.
42:29Everything I am is because of you.
42:31And I know I've made you proud.
42:33So, thank you for everything.
42:35Thank you, Henlo.
42:36Please take a seat with your fellow kings.
42:39Henlo!
42:42Henlo!
42:43Henlo!
42:44Henlo!
42:44I get to share that it's okay to be weird.
42:47It's okay to be vulnerable.
42:48It's okay to follow your heart and bare your soul, even if it's uncomfortable or a little
42:55embarrassing.
42:57You can cry when you need to.
42:59You can stumble and then show people your integrity in how you pick yourself back up.
43:05I'm so proud of me.
43:10I'm so proud of me.
43:13Dick Von Dyke and King Molasses, you will be competing in the final battle.
43:22Please head back to the man cave to prepare.
43:26Thank you so much.
43:27Thank you, man.
43:27Thank you, man.
43:28Thank you, man.
43:29Thank you, Dick.
43:31Yay!
43:32I want to thank our special guest judge, Cole Escola.
43:36Woo!
43:37Woo!
43:37Woo!
43:37They are so sought after.
43:41The toast of Hollywood and New York City that they have to get to an engagement, otherwise
43:47known as a grinder match.
43:49You don't understand how anything works.
43:51Bye.
43:51Bye, Cole.
43:53Bye, Cole.
43:54Bye.
43:55Bye, Cole.
43:57Yeah, I'm a real king.
43:59For the final battle of King of Drag, our top two kings will engage in a lip sync battle
44:23to our theme song, King, by Frankie Simone.
44:26We have a very special surprise guest for the final battle.
44:31Please welcome actress, reality star, best-selling author, podcast host, and all-around icon,
44:40Lisa Rinna.
44:42Woo!
44:46Lisa, the last time I saw you, we were filming Countless Luan Feeling, Giovanni.
44:51We are so excited you are here.
44:53It's great to be here.
44:54Your drag look is amazing.
44:56Do you like it?
44:57Holy .
44:58Tens across the board.
45:00Yay!
45:01Thank you!
45:04All right, our kings have been sequestered and the man came preparing.
45:08Let's check in on their blood pressure levels.
45:13Hello.
45:14Miss you, buddy.
45:15As a person who likes to be prepared, I feel like I'm prepared for every scenario except
45:21this.
45:22I'm immediately getting into game mode for the next challenge because that's why we're
45:27all here.
45:28I'm feeling fatigued 10 times beyond any performance scenario I've ever been in in my life.
45:37God, how am I supposed to lip sync next to King Molasses?
45:41I feel extremely confident in my ability to give the judges an incredible show.
45:48But I'm also looking over at DVD and seeing them as a threat.
45:53His fighting spirit is just undeniable.
45:56This is my time.
45:57I have to get ready.
45:58I've studied for this.
45:59I've trained for this.
46:00I do brunches where we'll do three shows back to back.
46:04I know what it's like to be performing when you're exhausted.
46:06I'll be fine.
46:07I can do this.
46:18Ready, kids?
46:19Yay!
46:20Aye, aye, captain.
46:21The moment we've all been waiting for is finally here.
46:26It's King Molasses vs. Dick Bondi duking it out for the crown and the title of the first
46:34ever king of drags.
46:36All I need to do is just find a way to quiet my mind.
46:41This moment could change my life.
46:43Look at that ears!
46:44I'm feeling, like, really confident.
46:47I'm pretty fired up.
46:49It's time for the sword fight!
46:52Our lip sync battle starts now!
46:55Yeah!

49:27Say what you got.
49:29I'm a real king.
49:30I'm a real king.
49:35I'm a real king.
49:37I wish I felt a little more confident than I do right now.
49:51That uncertainty is, is in my head because people were reacting to DVD.
49:56And now that it's done, I'm quickly trying to figure out
49:59where the line is of where he may have gotten me.
50:03The little anxious thoughts are like,
50:06they're starting to come in a little bit.
50:08Whoo!
50:10I have no idea how my performance went.
50:12I think I blacked out the whole time.
50:14So I hope you guys liked it.
50:16Like, I remember walking out
50:18and all the other contestants ogling me,
50:21which I loved, and that got me over the edge.
50:24But I hope it's great. I don't remember it.
50:26Thank you, King Molasses and Dick Von Dyke.
50:32You're both class acts,
50:34and I am proud to be sharing the stage with you right now.
50:39But we only have one crown.
50:44The winner of King of Drag will receive a crown and scepter
50:47from Fierce Drag Jewels, a custom suit courtesy of Sharp Suiting,
50:52talent management with Queer Up Agency,

51:06from Elf Cosmetics and Elf Skin.
51:08And $10,000 in cold, hard cash from Reverie.
51:18The royal court has made their decision.
51:24Tenderooni, before I announce the winner,
51:28any feedback for our final kinks?
51:31What an amazing lip sync.
51:33There was horns. There was reveals.
51:35We were gooped and gagged.
51:37This was a really hard decision to make.
51:39No matter what happens tonight, you are both superstars.
51:43The winner of season one of King of Drag is...
51:55Oh, guys, you know we gotta do this.
51:58Time for a commercial break.
51:59Watch out!
52:01Watch out!
52:04Yeah, I'm a real king.
52:12Now it's the moment you've been waiting for.
52:15Give me a drumroll.
52:21Deserve is kind of a hard word for me.
52:23I definitely do deserve to be the winner of King of Drag.
52:27I am really proud of getting to a point
52:30where I can say that I have great taste,
52:34because I worked and I'm still working extremely hard.
52:38The first ever King of Drag is...
52:47I'm grateful to have made it as far as one can make it.
52:52I feel like I've already won.
52:53And, like, me puking on the floor would be worth it.
53:02King molasses!
53:04Yay!
53:09Woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo!
53:16Woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo!
53:20This is the first drag king competition of its kind,
53:24and to have won it, it's kind of out of this world,
53:27the type of recognition that is really just across the board,
53:31across the country, across the world, across drag at large.
53:35It's also chill.
53:39You blew us all away, and your attention to your craft,
53:42you have been an inspiration to me,
53:45and I know to all of the kings here.
53:47Let's hear it, boys.
53:48Yeah, go!
53:50Before our crowning ceremony, let's give it up one last time
53:55for our runner-up, Dick Von Dice.
53:58Dick, Dick, Dick, Dick, Dick!
54:00I am so proud of what I've done in this competition,
54:05but at the end of the day, like,
54:06Molasses has put his heart and his soul into this competition,
54:09and I am just beyond grateful to be, like, runner-up to him.
54:13You kept us all laughing, and then you showed us your abs.
54:18You're a comedy king, and you are the future of drag,
54:21and you're not going home empty-handed.
54:25You have won a custom-made wig with matching facial hair
54:29and chest piece, courtesy of Lead'em Wicks.
54:33Yeah!
54:35Do you have any words?
54:36Thank you, Murray, I do.
54:38I grew up in Missouri, where I thought I was the only queer kid
54:42to ever have existed, and I am so proud of myself
54:46and the journey I've been on in the last few years,
54:49trying to repair my relationship with the word family,
54:53and I'm proud of the strides I've made with my blood family,
54:56and I'm also really proud of the family I've made
54:59in the years I've been doing drag
55:01and also in the weeks I've been in this incredible competition.
55:04I love you guys.
55:05Thank you all so much for watching this show,
55:07and thank you for supporting Drag Kings.
55:09Thank you, Dick Von Dyke.
55:11Please pack your packer and join your fellow kings.
55:15Huzzah!
55:18I've always just been told that, like,
55:20drag kings don't belong on TV,
55:22and that's just, like, a thing that I had accepted,
55:24and I just, like, hadn't even really thought twice about it.
55:27I was like, nope, that's okay.
55:29That's what you think. Good for you.
55:31And so I never really, like, prepared
55:33for what it would feel like to be a drag king on TV,
55:36because I never thought that was a possibility.
55:39To even get here feels insane,
55:41and then to get to this last leg of the competition,
55:47it just feels unreal.
55:50King Molasses, you won king of drag.
55:54How does it feel?
55:55It feels like everything, honestly.
55:58I am truly humbled,
56:00and I'm extremely grateful for this opportunity,
56:03and I just hope that you continue to watch
56:05because it's not over yet.
56:08Can I get an amen?
56:09Let's go!
56:11The time has come to crown our king.
56:15Tenderoni, the crown, please.
56:19Oh!
56:23Oh, looking good.
56:26Thank you, my tall brother.
56:28Thank you, Mary.
56:31King Molasses, please take a knee.
56:33It is my absolute honor to crown thee
56:37the first ever king of drag.
56:42Whoo!
56:45I competed at my best,
56:49and I competed with the best
56:51to get the incredible love and support
56:55and constructive criticism from the judges,
56:59from my peers, from Murray.
57:01And what I've gained from this competition
57:04is truly priceless.
57:07I didn't need a crown.
57:08Molasses, do you have any words for your kingdom?
57:12Yes.
57:13Thank you so much to everybody
57:20who believed in me and believed in us
57:23and believed in kings.
57:26We are kings not because we want to be men,
57:29not because we want to be masculine,
57:31and not because we want power.
57:34It's because we want room.
57:35It's because we want freedom and liberation.
57:38So thank you, and I'll see you all very soon.
57:40That was awesome.
57:41Yay!
57:42Yay!
57:43Woo!
57:44Thank you, y'all.
57:45While in this moment with people
57:47who are celebrating us,
57:49while this crown feels warm and positive,
57:53there is also the sense of responsibility
57:56that comes with it.
57:57I don't take that lightly.
57:59I know that I will have to be a front-facing person.
58:02I have to now represent this crown.
58:04The next big thing, what is in my headphones,
58:07is going to be on path to ensuring our visibility
58:11as an entire kingdom.
58:13One last time.
58:14One, two, three.
58:16Long live the game!
58:37Let him go, let him go, he is not your king.
58:43He is not my king.
58:46Let him go, let him go.
58:51Don't flood your hopes and dreams in fairy tale or fallacy.
58:55Let him go, let him go, he is not your king.
59:03Good night, everybody.
59:03Thanks for watchin' Showbiz.
59:05Long live the king!
