00:16What's going on? I got a show to do!
00:18I'm so scared!
00:20I'm so scared!
00:22I'm so scared!
00:24I knew I shouldn't have watched that VHS tape!
00:26You know what a VHS tape is?
00:28A big box and you put your finger in the hole
00:30over the box!
00:32Show me!
00:34I gotta do that!
00:36Welcome to the show!
00:38I'm Murray Hill and this is King
00:40of Drag!
00:42Show me!
00:58I'm a real king
01:01I'm a real king
01:03Say what you can huh?
01:04I'm a real king
01:06You're in the presence of R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-Z
01:08Come on and get in!
01:10Yeah, I'm a real king
01:12It feels very sad, but also I signed up for this.
01:26I'm going to miss Buck's face.
01:28I'm going to miss his cigarette.
01:30I can't fathom that he's going home before me.
01:33I walked into week two ready to rock on top of the world,
01:38and here I am barely escaping out of the bottom.
01:40This has been a big reality check for me.
01:42Perka, you were incredible. How do you feel?
01:45You know, honestly, the stand-up was what I wanted to do the most
01:49because I thought about going into stand-up.
01:51And you killed it. I can't believe that was your debut into stand-up.
01:54That's, like, the most confident I feel like I've ever seen you.
01:57It was so easy because I just got to be myself,
02:00and I actually had a lot more things, like, planned.
02:02I did not get time to say, and would y'all like to hear them?
02:05Yes.
02:06I have a really unique life that I live
02:09as, like, a drag king.
02:11I get treated like a pretend man.
02:13As a trans man, I get treated as half a man.
02:16As a black man, I get treated as three-fifths of a man.
02:19So good.
02:20And again, if I offend you, my name is Dave Chappelle.
02:23Or if you're Murray Hill, I'm molasses.
02:27And speaking of molasses,
02:29second win!
02:30I wanted to win so badly.
02:35You jerks!
02:37I want to win this competition.
02:39I've established that comedy is something that I can do,
02:42and I'm here, and the judges be noticing.
02:45So we're all up too late.
02:47Let's get ready for next week.
02:49Hell yeah!
02:49Whoa!
03:01Whoa!
03:05Yes, seeing some scary things.
03:07Already completely afraid.
03:09But the things that are most scary to me
03:11are those makeup cards.
03:12For me, it's noon.
03:13I ain't mad at you.
03:15But yeah.
03:17I like name branding.
03:18So we see the makeup station.
03:20I'm like, okay, I made it.
03:21So, like, once I stopped being caught up in my station,
03:24I was like, it's feeling a little spooky in here.
03:26I see Hello walking on a bedazzled knife.
03:29Hello, you know we're friends, right?
03:30I'm seeing skeletons, it's giving.
03:32Oh, I know what's about to happen.
03:35Ooh!
03:35My grandma had this to me.
03:37I love it, y'all.
03:38Let's do one.
03:38Classic.
03:39Both of them are gonna protect me.
03:40Yeah.
03:41I'm sorry, I did not sign up for a haunted house.
03:53Is this a drag competition
03:54or the Texas Chainsaw Massacre?
03:56Bring me king!
04:00I'm just not trying to die first, you know?
04:02What kind of poltergeist is this?
04:04Danger.
04:05I shouldn't be here.
04:06Oh my God, what's gonna happen?
04:08Bring me king!
04:10Is that Murray?
04:14G-Porks?
04:17Oh my God.
04:19God damn it, Murray.
04:20Showbiz.
04:21Hello, my bootiful kings.
04:24If you haven't already guessed,
04:26this week's theme is horror.
04:29Whoa!
04:29From Rocky Horror Picture Show to I Saw the TV Glow,
04:35queers have always been obsessed with the creepies and the crawlies.
04:40You know, the things that go up in the night.
04:42Showbiz.
04:44It's horror week, it's my week.
04:47I've spent eight years working at a haunt,
04:48so I am so happy that I get to flex my skills here and bring the horror to everyone.
04:53I don't watch scary movies.
04:54This is not my thing, but I'm here.
04:56If I'm in the bottom for the scary boy challenge,
05:00might as well just go and burn all the drag because this is something that should be up my alley.
05:05If I'm not in the top or at least safe in this one, then what am I even doing here?
05:09For today's weenie challenge, we have something frightfully fun in store.
05:15Joining us today is a member of the King's Court and Brooklyn's own Queen of the Night, Sasha Velour.
05:31Sasha Velour is known as the Queen of the Kings.
05:36She has championed Kings her entire career.
05:39And did you know she's a drag king too?
05:41Check it out, y'all.
05:43Hi, Kings.
05:43Hola.
05:44I've loved seeing your funny sides, but I'm even more excited to delve into your darkness.
05:51Kings, your weenie challenge is...
05:55Bo and the...
05:57Beast.
05:59As you may have noticed, your workstations have been stocked with elf cosmetics.
06:04Your task is to create a makeup look that is half glamour and half monster.
06:12To help you achieve this split personality sleigh, you must exclusively use elf cosmetics for only the glamour side of your face.
06:24We want to see handsome and horrible, hunky and hideous, dapper and demonic.
06:32Just like the two of us.
06:33Which one am I?
06:34Okay, go ahead.
06:35No comment.
06:36The two sides of your face, though, should be in conversation with one another.
06:40Half and half makeup looks.
06:41I've done these on myself.
06:43I've done them on clients.
06:44I've done them on actors.
06:45This feels like a very comfortable and wonderful place to be.
06:48You have 45 minutes to create your quick drag, beau and the beast look.
06:53Wait, is 45 minutes quick?
06:55That's extremely quick.
06:56This takes hours.
06:58Oh, my God.
06:59Definitely not enough time, but elf cosmetics, give me strength.
07:03Let's go.
07:04I have never done half and half makeup look.
07:07I'm a little bit nervous just because Sasha is going to be intently looking.
07:13All right, Kings.
07:14Now, let's go get freaky.
07:17And you, let's go get freaky.
07:21Let's go get freaky.
07:22Come on, I'll get you.
07:23Let's go.
07:23Let me get this dog for you.
07:24Oh, thanks.
07:47Yes, look at these options.
07:55I ain't never had fancy stuff like this.
07:57Thank you, Auntie Elf.
07:58Okay.
08:00Activating glamour puss.
08:03I'm feeling scared.
08:0645 minutes is not enough time to even wake up in the morning.
08:10Honestly, I'd be snoozing the alarm.
08:11I think everyone's kind of looking like they're going to turn the corner on me this week.
08:15Henlo, you coming for the crown this week?
08:17Oh, yeah.
08:18We're going to have a new winning streak happening.
08:20Oh.
08:20And it starts today.
08:21I can't wait.
08:23The first week, I was in the bottom.
08:25Last week, I was safe.
08:27I really got to keep this rise going.
08:28It's time to hit the top of the pack.
08:30As a haunt makeup artist, we're asked to do some looks, full face looks in five minutes.
08:35My career as it exists now is inextricable from horror.
08:38The costuming work that I do would not have begun.
08:42My FX work, my glamour makeup work, is colored and shaped by horror.
08:48Wait, this is left, right?
08:49Yes, it is.
08:49Okay.
08:50On the bow side, just basic pretty boy.
08:53And then on the beast side, thankfully, I had my thinking cap.
08:56I was like, okay, well, zombie.
08:58I don't know what makeup brush is supposed to do what.
09:00Hey, but that's the beauty of drag and makeup.
09:02Do with it what you want.
09:04Even though I'm good at makeup, I'm not a makeup artist.
09:08A makeup artist, educated, knows what they're doing.
09:11Me, I guess this looks good.
09:14In fact, when I tell people I do drag, they ask if I can do their makeup.
09:17I said, if you want to look like a clown, I got you.
09:20I know all eyes are on me for this one because, like, I established myself as, like, the horror
09:24scary boy.
09:25First week, I rapped about it.
09:27That's when the pressure really sets in because if I don't win this one, then they'll definitely
09:33start to see me as, like, the easy out.
09:35All right, you little bitch.
09:37I love playing with makeup.
09:39However, I don't do special effects makeup.
09:41Gore is not my calling.
09:43Oh, no.
09:44Spooked it right up.
09:45For my bow side, I know I can do a glam king because that's who I am.
09:50Oh, hell yeah.
09:51Oh, yeah.
09:51Growing up in Texas, I started in competitive dance and pageantry.
09:56I was actually Miss Teen Austin in 2007.
10:00I was doing drag even at that age, whether I realized it or not, because I didn't connect
10:06to being a girl.
10:08In my early days of drag, it was very much, like, facial hair and, like, contouring your
10:13muscles.
10:14You did not wear glitter.
10:15You did not wear fake eyelashes.
10:17You did not wear rhinestones.
10:18And I was like, that's boring.
10:21I want to show that you can be glittery.
10:24You can be flamboyant and still be masculine and still be a man.
10:27What about you, Big D?
10:28Have you done a half and half?
10:29Surely you've done a half and half.
10:30Of course I haven't.
10:31I've never done a half and half look before.
10:33I mean, it could be argued I've never done a look before.
10:36My makeup skills are down here.
10:38There's no way I can do anything but garbage in this scenario, but I'm going to just try.
10:42I've got a concept, ringmaster, clown.
10:45And so my delusion says, that's awesome.
10:49Eyeshadow.
10:49I never did eyeshadow before, y'all.
10:51Oh, my God.
10:51Oh, my God.
10:52What?
10:53Yes.
10:54Come on, eyeshadow.
10:56For my B-side, I am a werewolf.
10:58You know what I'm saying?
10:59And then for my beauty, I'm going into color.
11:01So I'm like, do a little.
11:03This is the most makeup I've ever used in my life.
11:06Yes, pressure, you're doing great.
11:12I'm feeling excited, but I also know with this look, it's a lot of my insecurities.
11:18One day I came home when I was 16 and it was a makeup party that I did not set up.
11:23And I just felt that I was taught to cover myself because I wasn't pretty.
11:28So when I got into drag, I was out there with glitter on the beard and that's it.
11:32And one night I seen Drag King performance, Percocet.
11:35Oh, my God.
11:37And I was like, oh, my God, man, can we stay longer?
11:40Can we see?
11:41And I saw Percocets put on a show and used the whole stage, his makeup.
11:45I said, baby, that's it.
11:46That's it.
11:47And it just really, like, changed the game for me.
11:50I'm not covering up the ugly.
11:51I'm being an artist.
11:52I'm finger painting.
11:54So I was like, I'm breathing now.
11:55I was like, okay.
11:57I'm not ugly.
11:58We're having fun.
11:59Shout out to Percocets.
12:00I'd like to thank all the Atlanta queens who told me I looked busted in the beginning when I did drag.
12:04I'd like to thank the drag queen that told me I looked like a Kmart king because I never would have gotten here without her.
12:10Oh, my God.
12:11I think that's why we came, because we don't accept it.
12:13May I say it's a privilege and a blessing just to be here and play makeup with all of you now.
12:20Yes.
12:21Yes.
12:21You're at least a Nosferrat 4, just so you know.
12:27Oh, gracias.
12:29That's my favorite number.
12:31Really?
12:32Why?
12:32My birth month is April.
12:35Oh.
12:36I like the way it's shaped, and I've attempted to erase myself from existence four times.
12:43Whoa.
12:44Glad you're here.
12:45Yeah, seriously.
12:45So glad you're here.
12:46Grateful to be alive and be here with all of you.
12:48The makeup look I'm designing is a clown look, a happy and a sad.
12:55I want to show two sides of death.
12:58I want more people to accept that death is a part of life, and I'm very happy and grateful I'm still here.
13:04I'm alive, I'm queer, I'm ready to conquer fear.
13:08Yes.
13:10Okay, kids, don't try this at home.
13:12I'm going to use my dirty ass hands to put in a contact lens.
13:15Oh my god, I did that earlier, and then it popped out, and I was like, you get back in there.
13:20That was what I used to tell my packer before I figured out to use a jockstrap, and it would like run away, and I was like, come back, come back.
13:26Down boy, down boy.
13:28I feel like having your packer go down your leg at some point in time is a drag king rite of passage.
13:33Yeah.
13:33As if it happens on stage during a performance.
13:36Yes.
13:37If it's when, you know?
13:39Yeah.
13:40My inner child is cackling, darling, cackling.
13:42I realize I'm still playing.
13:44I'm looking around like people have full painted faces.
13:47Hello is together.
13:49Charlie is together.
13:51At this point, I'm just like, ooh, what does this do?
13:53Ooh, like, ooh, ah, and they all like, ooh, this looks great on me.
13:57Like, I'm really at a candy store.
13:59I've got the gray down and the split, and I'm feeling like, come on.
14:07I kind of need to get to the glam side.
14:0930 seconds, gang, 30 seconds.
14:1030 seconds, we got this.
14:11Oh, that's terrifying.
14:21Yeah.
14:21Oh, help me.
14:24Oh, my God.
14:26Yeah, um, can I get an apple box, please?
14:28You don't just want a pair of shoes?
14:29JJ.
14:31Oh!
14:33Please, put it in.
14:34The shows.
14:37Oh, ow!
14:38Yes.
14:39She's over to the dollar.
14:40Now, don't we look a little better?
14:41Nice to see you up here.
14:42All right.
14:43I don't even know who is who here.
14:45I can't tell.
14:46First up, king molasses.
14:50Ooh.
14:51The concept is having a side that is outlined, which is how I usually structure my face and
14:58my fear of blending.
15:00Next up, Penlo.
15:03There's confidence, feeling myself, feeling gorgeous, and then there's the ways in which
15:08I doubt everything.
15:09Which one are you feeling more today?
15:11I'm feeling so confident.
15:12It's horror day, and I'm disgusting.
15:15Big D.
15:16Oh!
15:18Dick Bondyke.
15:19So behind this look is, like, two alt kids going to the Halloween dance.
15:26They're in the GSA, but they're just allies.
15:28We've been there.
15:29Alexander the Great.
15:30Ooh.
15:32Oh.
15:32Oh.
15:33Oh.
15:33Oh.
15:34Is he done?
15:36It's over.
15:38Mm-mm.
15:39Oh!
15:41Ooh.
15:42Yes.
15:43This is really my first time using this much makeup.
15:46Both sides are pretty beautiful.
15:47Ooh.
15:48My drag journey in general, makeup was hard.
15:52When I first started, I didn't have that many resources.
15:55Oh, I'm crying.
15:56I didn't have that many resources.
15:58I'm able to be learning how to contour and everything.
16:00It was by the goodness of my drag mom and other drag kings that I had to learn to do it.
16:07It was, like, frustrating and sad.
16:09I'm especially proud of my makeup because it's, like, something I struggled with for so long to do.
16:14And now it's one of the things I am best known for.
16:17It's one of the things I'm getting the most compliments on.
16:19Thank you, Perka.
16:21You can step back.
16:22Before I make my decision, I do want to get a closer look.
16:28I actually feel good.
16:30I think I delivered a clear concept and the story is still important.
16:35The characterization.
16:37I like my look.
16:39Is it the look I would want to put in front of Sasha?
16:43Not necessarily.
16:45Beautifully blended.
16:46The winner is Perka-Sucks.
16:56Yes!
16:58Yes!
17:00Absolutely.
17:01I'm the best two-faced king.
17:03This one means a lot to me giving my history with makeup because, like, I struggled in it for so, so long.
17:08It feels great to have the recognition.
17:11I can say no matter what happens, I got one win.
17:13You have won the ultimate crown and contour from Elf Cosmetics, including essentials like Jumbo Power Grip Primer, 16-Hour Camo Concealer, and Camo Liquid Bronzer and Contour.
17:28These products are all about giving you an Elfin, flawless base for your face.
17:35All right.
17:36Thank you, Sasha.
17:37Now, poof!
17:38Begone with you!
17:40Hi, Sasha!
17:42Poof!
17:44You're a poof.
17:45Get out of here!
17:47All right.
17:48It's midnight, the itching hour.
17:52Oh, wait.
17:53I think that's the eczema on my butt.
17:55Anyway, it's time for the pee-pee challenge.
17:59Kings, are you ready to get scared, stiff?
18:03Yes, yes.
18:04A truly great king must be in touch with his brightest joys and his darkest fears.
18:10Today, you must conjure a look and a performance inspired by what scares you most.
18:17I could not be dreading anything more than this challenge.
18:21My biggest fear is this challenge.
18:23I'm not feeling insecure.
18:25I'm feeling emotional.
18:27Because I don't do scary movies.
18:29It's more like my trauma.
18:30When I was a kid, I got scared really easily.
18:34As I've gotten older, I've started to get kind of more into, like, scary things.
18:38It's made me feel more powerful.
18:39Joining us today in the Royal Hall, we have some very special guest judges.
18:44Yellow Jacket's very own Liv Hewson.
18:48Oh, my God.
18:50Cults, cannibalism.
18:52I love Yellow Jacket, so this is really awesome for me.
18:55Our flag means Death Star, Vico Ortiz.
18:59Yes!
19:01Eze Vico!
19:03Eee, hermano, cibli!
19:04And the winner of Dragula Season 3, Landon Cider.
19:09Yes!
19:10Oh, my God.
19:12This is the moment I have been waiting for.
19:15Landon Cider, I am fully gagged and definitely scared now.
19:20When getting ready today, feel free to use Trans Tape, the original body transformation system
19:26that is a backless and waterproof alternative to compression binders.
19:32Crap.
19:32I forgot one more thing.
19:36The most bone-chilling thing of them all.
19:40Oh, God.
19:42Today will be a double elimination.
19:49Oh, no.
19:53Oh, no.
19:54Oh, great.
19:56My chances of being in the bottom increased.
19:59I love it here.
20:00Well, it could be anybody.
20:04I have to be at the top in order to ensure that I am not in the final thrust.
20:08Let's circle up.
20:10Yes, coach.
20:12Long live the king!
20:14Yeah, I'm a real king.
20:30And the curls are back, baby.
20:42I love a messy, smeary face that's been given it.
20:46Who's excited?
20:47Yes!
20:48Yeah!
20:49I'm so happy.
20:50This is where I live.
20:51I'm a monster.
20:52Everything is perfect.
20:52We've all seen the way that Henlo is parading around the man cave.
20:56Just so happy!
20:57Henlo, we get it.
20:58You love horror?
20:59I'm horrified.
21:00This is one of the ones I was most excited for.
21:05I'm shocked, Perk.
21:06That feels very unexpected.
21:07I know, right?
21:08It's something that's finally in my wheelhouse, but also if I lose, then it's a double disappointment
21:12because I should be good at this.
21:14I'm just hoping that I am good at this.
21:16I'm just hoping that I am good at this.
21:18Thanks for having me.
21:43I do high glam all the time.
21:45I do high glam all the time.
21:47It might not seem scary, but I'm doing death by fast fashion.
21:52I'm going to be the earth suffocated by fast fashion.
21:56Damn.
21:56So very conceptual, so I'm hoping to sell it.
22:00There's a very real fear about us harming our planet.
22:04To me, there couldn't be anything more horrifying.
22:07Being in Austin, Texas, I care so much.
22:10I serve as a commissioner on the LGBTQ commission for the city of Austin,
22:14so I'm literally a city official.
22:16Could you believe it?
22:17I have testified against drag ban bills in full drag.
22:21I have transitioned into privilege and power.
22:24Let's use this for good and not evil, right?
22:27I just want to say, Alexander, I'm sorry about all my fake leather purchases.
22:31Well, that's okay.
22:32We're all guilty of it.
22:32They do be on sale.
22:34It do be like two for $5.
22:35Mine is the fear of the unknown, also known as agnosticophobia.
22:40You be dropping some words on me.
22:42The mo-isms.
22:43Okay, the mo-isms.
22:44I just want them all on t-shirts.
22:45Please make t-shirts.
22:46Yes.
22:47It's very conceptual.
22:48What I'm about to do on the runway, no other competitor in the room is going to do.
22:54I like to call it the void suit.
22:56I am going to make myself as monochromatic as possible.
23:01Like, I'm back in college doing, like, my weird art projects.
23:05I am so excited to see you wear this.
23:08What's yours?
23:08A fear of the passage of time.
23:11Ooh.
23:12Anyone who's socialized as a woman is, like, socialized to see themselves as, like, having a shelf life.
23:18Mm-hmm.
23:18Yes.
23:19And just, like, don't tell people that.
23:21That's weird.
23:22Grow up.
23:23It's weird.
23:25Mine is evil can't consume me.
23:27Oh.
23:28I'm afraid of showing all my emotions.
23:31Back in the hood, like, growing up, I learned what happens in this house stays in this house.
23:35And that had me locked up.
23:37I had to take ownership and be my purpose, be who I am, show it I'm not the only one that's hurting.
23:43Because it's easy to be evil.
23:44But it's hard to say, that hurt me, and I'm going to heal.
23:49What's up, Charlie?
23:50How you feeling over there?
23:51Feeling great.
23:53Excited, focused, ready, and nervous.
23:57Nervous?
23:57Not you.
23:58I see death as an old friend.
24:00Living life is one of the most scariest things, because I don't know what's going to happen,
24:06which is also beautiful, because I don't know what's going to happen.
24:09I get to keep living.
24:12Putting this out there for the judges represents freedom and acceptance that I'm still surviving.
24:20Henla, what's your concept?
24:21Oh.
24:22This is the angel of medical atrocity.
24:24Oh.
24:25I have had a lot of lifelong health issues.
24:28And when I was 16, my mom had her first seizure, and we discovered it was a brain tumor.
24:33And when I was 18, she died of her brain tumor.
24:36Rest in peace.
24:37So everything in my look has either happened to me or to a close family member.
24:42It was gutting and isolating to be just stepping into adulthood and losing my mother at the same time.
24:52There are so many things I wish I could tell my mom.
24:54I don't have to ask, I hope you'd be proud of me to my mom, because I know she would be.
24:59I really want to bring these personal fears and experiences into an extremely visceral and straight-up disgusting presentation.
25:10I have about 30 cc's of watered-down stage blood in my wig.
25:15I love wearing this.
25:16I got lucky with this administration that I got my gender marker changed the day before.
25:21They said it wasn't supposed to be allowed anymore.
25:24Holy f***.
25:24Good job.
25:25My fear is being seen as, like, this monster just because of who I am.
25:30My existence as a trans person is always on the line.
25:35I get my rights taken away from me every morning I wake up, it seems like.
25:38I know I'm a man.
25:39I couldn't find my own G-spot.
25:40That's how much of a man I am.
25:41If I could just scare the s*** out of Murray one more time, I'll leave happy.
25:49One hour left.
25:54How do you feel about this double tonight?
25:56It means no one's safe.
25:57Frankly, y'all, I'm scared still.
25:59And no one likes a scared dick, because then it shrinks.
26:02All right, I'm going to use my blow dryer on you.
26:04Do you consent?
26:06Oh, yes.
26:07The studs on the lab jacket, you fiend.
26:12This challenge is probably the one I'm most scared of.
26:15It's a character I've done before, Dr. Melvin Schmuckler.
26:18I'm kind of going for, like, a weird scientist doctor kind of vibe.
26:22I have a reveal that has worked once or twice at home in my bathroom, but has also not worked.
26:29And I'm wearing my frickin' orthopedic sneakers, because I'm 50 years old and I got a bad knee.
26:35Also, I think it's kind of badass to wear orthopedic sneakers on the runaway.
26:39Oh, my God.
26:41I'm so nervous, you guys.
26:43I know.
26:44I feel like a goofball, because my look is such a different direction from everyone else's.
26:48I don't know if it tells as compelling of a story.
26:52I'm afraid that while my character is identifiable, I think that the fear is not, like, being instilled in the same way as everyone else.
27:01And so, like, I'm hoping it's enough.
27:0430 minutes left.
27:05All right.
27:06All right.
27:08You have a taint of rage.
27:09Oh, yeah.
27:10Let's get you some body paint.
27:12I wanted to add a little bit of color.
27:14You know, I'm learning that from the Whitney Challenge.
27:15So now my anxiety is kicking back in.
27:18I need to ask for help.
27:19Asking for help is so difficult.
27:21It is.
27:22And you make it easy.
27:23They're just passing me around.
27:24Look at the baby.
27:25I'm like, yeah, it's me, you know?
27:32Everything starts to tingle, and I'm like, oh, yeah.
27:35It's time to sink or swim with this one.
27:37Time to go into the unknown.
27:45Time's up, fellas.
27:47Put it back in your pants, and meet me in the royal.
27:53Yeah, I'm a real king.
28:15Showbiz.
28:23Welcome to the royal hall.
28:29Excuse me.
28:31Frog in my throat.
28:32Let me introduce our esteemed panel of judges.
28:36In real life, he scares me.
28:38But tonight, he's spooktacular, tender, rony, freaky, in a good way, Sasha Velour.
28:49Australian actor and breakout star of Yellow Jackets, Liv Houston.
28:55Known as the knife-throwing, non-binary, polyamorous pirate on our flag means death,
29:01and a silly little Latino lover of our dreams, Vico Ortiz.
29:06And tonight, he's Vico Suave.
29:09Winner of Dragula Season 3 and host of YouTube show Dragged Inc., it's Landon Sider.
29:19So, King's Court, what are you all hoping to see from the kings tonight?
29:23Looking to get thrills and chills.
29:25I want to have my core shaken up in a way that after this, I will need therapy immediately.
29:30Wow. Are you in therapy currently?
29:32Yes.
29:33Oh, s***. You need two sessions back-to-back.
29:37Exactly.
29:37All right, Sasha, what are you looking for tonight?
29:40Well, for experienced drag queens such as myself, it's not often that we are surprised,
29:46but I am hoping to be truly gagged tonight.
29:49All right, Landon, I know this is your domain.
29:51You love horror. You love makeup.
29:53So, what are you looking for tonight?
29:54I'm looking for a dedication to the look and to the character.
29:57I want to see them fall into it. Make me believe that you are your greatest fear.
30:01Ooh.
30:02I just got the chills and shivers.
30:04Thank God I'm not doing this challenge.
30:06Showbiz.
30:07All right.
30:08It's time to get scared stiff.
30:11First up, percosex.
30:17The challenge wasn't conquering your fears, it was becoming your fear.
30:21So, I had to become the thing I hate the most in the world.
30:28I look terrifying.
30:30Put a giant F on my face.
30:32I'm gonna get a little real.
30:34A political number.
30:36Rights getting taken away.
30:39Let's just take all that anger, all that rage, and let's put it on the stage.
30:43Oh, man.
30:43I don't care what you call yourself.
31:05I'll never call you Benjamin.
31:07I gave birth to a girl.
31:09I don't care.
31:09I hope Trump gets you and all your f***ing tranny friends.
31:14Mm-hmm.
31:15Got chills.
31:20Alexander the Great.
31:26My biggest fear is ecocide.
31:28I am obsessed with our planet.
31:31I've got my polar ice caps on my head.
31:34Suffocating by fast fashion.
31:36I might be wearing a lot of color for the horror challenge, but I look good, and my message is important.
31:42I didn't get her.
32:06King molasses.
32:08The suit is literally what a void receding into space would look like.
32:23It's really about embodying the actual fear of the unknown.
32:30Anxiety, stress.
32:34Movement is the challenge for me in this piece to really sell this garment.
32:38It's time for big.
32:56Big, big, big, big, big, big.
32:58My greatest fear is when my anxiety or my depression make me lose my perspective.
33:07I'm in my own head.
33:11Well, you're so stuck in here.
33:17I'm in my own head.
33:22Oh, my God.
33:29Oh, my God.
33:31Oh, my God.
33:32Doctor.
33:33Hello.
33:34Hello, Doctor.
33:35Yeah?
33:36I'm in my own head.
33:37So get out of there.
33:38I can't.
33:39Why not?
33:40I'm in my own head.
33:42I can't.
33:43So get dirty.
33:44I can't.
33:45Why not?
33:46Why not?
33:47Why not?
33:48Why not?
33:49Why not?
33:50Why not?
33:52That's my type of horror.
33:54A little comedy in there for sure.
33:58Pressure A.
34:03The cloak is like the essence of the dark spirit, the evil.
34:08Manipulation, lies, deceit, domestic violence.
34:12The cloak was for my mom.
34:14The cloak was for my dad.
34:15The cloak was for my older sister.
34:17No!
34:18No!
34:19No!
34:20No!
34:21No!
34:22No!
34:23No!
34:24No!
34:25No!
34:38When I screamed out, no, it came from the not
34:41I've been feeling.
34:42Today, I finally had a release.
34:48It's time for Dick Von Dyke.
34:53My fear is the passage of time.
34:56I am a grandfather being swallowed by the clock.
35:01Oh, come on.
35:02I want like an unclockable grandfather clock.
35:11It's giving time.
35:12It's giving time's up.
35:13It isn't tick-tock, this is dick-tock.
35:22Charles Galen King.
35:26My greatest fear is also my greatest strength.
35:29Surviving death in life.
35:31Yeah!
35:32I'm dead!
35:33The joyfulness of Day of the Dead.
35:37But also surviving death.
35:39I can't go back to the light yet.
35:41I can't go back to the light yet.
36:00It's Henlo Bullfrog!
36:02Scabs, blisters, boils, lots of IV tubing throughout.
36:09I am filth.
36:10I am horror.
36:11I am everything in your hospital nightmares.
36:13Oh.
36:23Oh, my God.
36:27Oh.
36:28You need it.
36:29That's right.
36:30Yeah.
36:31Yummy.
36:32Oh, my God.
36:33Oh, my God.
36:35Oh, my God.
36:36Oh, my God.
36:38Oh, my God.
36:39Oh, my God.
36:40Oh, my God.
36:41Yes, please.
36:45My last reveal doesn't go off.
36:48Bleeding from the brain, I'm sure they could tell
36:51that something didn't go off.
36:53I hope I did enough.
36:56Yeah, I'm a real king.
37:08Whoo, kids, damn.
37:11You gave me the goddamn willies.
37:13The King's Court has made some decisions.
37:17Dick Von Dyke and Henlo Bullfrog,
37:24you are both safe.
37:32I thought it was my week.
37:34I was aiming to be in the top or a win.
37:36Being safe?
37:37Like, come on!
37:39I am lamenting that I didn't get the opportunity
37:42to hear what exactly the judges didn't like.
37:45The rest of you represent the tops and bottoms of the week.
37:49We will now hear from the King's Court.
37:52Charles Galen.
37:53Hola.
37:54I love that you added your heritage to it,
37:56and I loved the reveal that you did,
37:59but I just wish the scale was bigger.
38:01It gave me full body chills.
38:03Thank you for sharing such a vulnerable story with us.
38:06I think that's exactly what drag is for.
38:09I do think your costume is very simple.
38:11Maybe too simple.
38:12It just looks like maybe it was a little rushed.
38:14Okay.
38:15And I think that's a vibe that we're trying not to go with,
38:17especially with such a powerful story.
38:19You are incredibly charismatic.
38:21And I would just encourage you to be more of yourself.
38:24Lean in with bigger details and with more of your presence.
38:29Thank you so much.
38:30Next up, Pressure K.
38:32When you came out completely covered with your head down,
38:36all we had was the first garment,
38:38which was disappointing
38:40because it was hard to read what the specific fear was.
38:43I also wanted to see you take your time into the explosion
38:48of you breaking through.
38:50I really wanted to feel that energy brought into the performance as well.
38:53You had it in you. I could see it.
38:55I wanted to see more of it.
38:56You're really on a journey rising into who you are as a performer.
39:01And I felt myself wanting to be able to lock in with you.
39:04And I think as you keep finding who you are,
39:07you'll be able to communicate it to us.
39:09Thank you so much.
39:10I could definitely take that and work with you.
39:12I also want to commend you on playing with more makeup.
39:15And I want to encourage that journey.
39:18The red eyebrow, the lip color.
39:21It is beautiful.
39:23You're nailing it.
39:24Keep going.
39:25It's okay.
39:26It's okay.
39:27It's okay.
39:28You got this.
39:29It's okay.
39:30I just felt like I wasn't meant to be for so long.
39:40I just had to learn, like, not to give that evil energy back.
39:46And that my looks are strong.
39:48Yeah.
39:49Take that time and stand in it and revel in it.
39:54Jeez, you're making me cry.
39:55I haven't cried since 1979.
39:57T-Pops, come on.
40:00This is my first time not being safe.
40:02They say they wanted to see more.
40:04That's the feeling I had.
40:06So they actually saw my truth.
40:08Okay, big D.
40:10You are a total delight.
40:13Wow.
40:14This head that you're petting right now, like a small buttocks or a large sack.
40:25You've given us a completely different persona every single time.
40:29But the consistency is your bizarre sensibility and a very on point sense of humor.
40:36I really love that you brought camp to a horror challenge.
40:40Comedy and horror are very much alike, way more than people realize.
40:44And I really love that you brought that to the stage.
40:47I don't normally watch horror, but when there's camp in horror, then I'm like, I will be tuning in.
40:52Your energy when you perform is so infectious.
40:56The only thing that took me out of it was the sneakers.
40:59If the puppet would have had the matching sneakers, then I would have been like, okay, okay, okay.
41:06They clocked me for the orthopedic sneakers, fair.
41:09But I mean, like, this is one of those moments for me where I feel like, oh, there's a place for me in this competition.
41:15I brought comedy to a horror challenge and that was welcomed.
41:18That felt really nice.
41:20All right, King Molasses.
41:22I love the way that you think about your drag at every single angle.
41:26The reveal was so simple, but so effective.
41:29It sent chills down my spine.
41:32It was incredibly effective.
41:34The way you've accessorized it and done your makeup, it belongs in a museum.
41:38Great work.
41:40Your level of intention is unmatched.
41:43I held my breath the whole time and I could have passed out and been like, that was amazing.
41:47Thank you. Thank you so much.
41:49Alexander the Great.
41:50Hello.
41:51You obviously have an incredible mind.
41:53I think this particular story could have been a little bit better presented tonight.
41:58I knew what your story was, but I kind of wasn't sure.
42:01I knew it had to do with Earth, but the specificity of it kind of got lost on me.
42:05This is like a really big and bold idea and I would love to see the scale represent the scale of the problem.
42:16I am feeling a bit devastated for sure.
42:19Knowing that this is not my best is killing me.
42:23Perk of sex.
42:24Perk.
42:25Big perk.
42:26Tender.
42:27The language that you used when you were yelling, like, don't call me this name.
42:33What's the story with that?
42:35My mom said that to me.
42:38That was the nail in the coffin.
42:42I tried so hard to be a good kid.
42:46And then she told me that.
42:48And then I just never wanted to see her again.
42:50Perk, I just love how you take it and turn it around and use it as your strength.
42:55You have a wild chaoticness that sometimes can lead you astray, but is utterly captivating.
43:03And I think you really were in the pocket tonight.
43:05I had tears welling up in my eyes.
43:09That is a fear that I also very deeply resonate to.
43:12So I was like, oh, I am with you.
43:14I was getting chills all over the place.
43:17Breathtaking.
43:19I'm sorry I scared you.
43:20Oh, no, please.
43:21I came here for that.
43:23Kings Court, tonight is a double elimination.
43:28Oh, my God.
43:29You must choose three kings to face off in the final thrust.
43:35I don't know how you're gonna do it.
43:36I really don't.
43:37This is gonna be a tough, tough choice.
43:39Kings, please head back to the man cave while our court deliberates.
43:54Double elimination?
43:55That's wild.
43:56Like, why are we cursed with this decision?
43:58All right, let's start with Molasses.
44:00That's top for me.
44:01His execution is just so amazing in everything he does.
44:05I personally do want to give it to Percosac.
44:08I thought that was the most fully realized performance that anybody did.
44:12Just in terms of, like, horror drag.
44:14I mean, it just scared the out of me.
44:16I wasn't playing a character.
44:17I was just really pissed off.
44:19I'm just scary when I'm pissed.
44:21Just the looks on their faces.
44:23They were, like, really quiet after.
44:25And I'm just like, oh, that's not a good reaction.
44:27I didn't do a good job.
44:28I think I did terrible.
44:29I think I did awful.
44:31If I was on the judges panel, I would put myself in the bottom.
44:34I'd be like, burn all the drag.
44:35In fact, I'm gonna burn your drag for you.
44:37Bring it out here.
44:38We're gonna have a bonfire with marshmallows and s'mores.
44:41They both brought amazing concepts to the table,
44:43which is gonna make this decision so hard.
44:45Yeah.
44:46Charles, as much as I love the performance and the concept,
44:49I just feel that it was just wasn't enough.
44:53It left me wanting more.
44:55There was real strength in Big D's performance.
44:58Like, the fear was clear.
45:00The fear was funny.
45:01Nobody else's fear was funny.
45:03I 100% agree.
45:04It's just accostuming to me, like, the sneakers.
45:07That's a deal breaker.
45:12So what did you all think of Alexander the Great?
45:14I loved the outfit, loved the cape,
45:18but the execution of it all happened kind of rapidly.
45:22He left the stage and I, like,
45:23hadn't even processed that a reveal had happened.
45:25Yeah.
45:26And we even kind of whispered to each other, like,
45:27I didn't get it.
45:28Yeah.
45:29You know?
45:30Yeah.
45:31Well, the interesting thing about Prasha Kay's look
45:33that I keep coming back to is that it was really more
45:36of a look that told a story of triumph than fear.
45:40I loved, loved, loved the ending,
45:43but I was left kind of lost with that beginning.
45:46I think that got in the way of giving us the full fantasy.
45:50Mm-hmm. I agree.
45:51Prasha, yo, Prash, how you feeling?
45:53I legit feel okay.
45:58I just, it feels like a freedom.
46:00Like, I got it off my chest.
46:02Finally.
46:03Like, that's why I was like, I know it's a competition,
46:05but this is healing every step.
46:06Every step I take is breaking through for me.
46:09When you said about your mom, Percocet,
46:12with my mom, I wasn't allowed to cry.
46:14So that's why when I get emotional, like, I tense up
46:17because I'm trying to stop it.
46:19And when y'all came up to me, I felt that pressure be you.
46:23Pressure be, like, let it out.
46:26Because I'm scared to be angry.
46:28The cloak was for my mom.
46:30It brought me to tears.
46:32I was willing to do anything for my mom, anything.
46:35I was trying to like boys.
46:37I was trying to get the clothes.
46:38I was trying to be that, like.
46:41Like, my sister said, she don't want me to meet her kids,
46:44but my sister-in-law put her baby in my hands.
46:50It's like, that's why I said, like,
46:51the people that taught me how to walk taught me how to eat.
46:54Taught me how to eat.
46:56And you don't want to hug me in public.
47:00Or to tell me I'm evil, to tell me I'm a demon.
47:03I miss my family.
47:08I miss them.
47:10I don't hate them.
47:11I just can't handle them in my life
47:13because I want to live.
47:16I want to be alive.
47:18But I was still strong and said, no,
47:20because I know I have a future every time I close my eyes.
47:23I see my dream.
47:24That's when we sit here and I close them.
47:26I see us.
47:27I see what's going to happen to us.
47:28I see me being alive.
47:29I'm seeing me getting older.
47:31I see it.
47:32So when you see me just sitting there, I'm not sad.
47:35I see the blessings that's coming for us.
47:37It is time for the court's royal decree.
47:52Tenderoni.
47:53King Molasses, your look and your execution tonight really wowed us.
47:58Percosex, your look and your execution tonight really scared us.
48:07Percosex, congratulations.
48:10You are the winner this week.
48:11It means a lot to win.
48:12I feel like a part of me that's been, that's afraid of all these things.
48:24I feel like I was able to beat that part of me as well.
48:27And hopefully the nightmares stop.
48:29King Molasses, you are safe.
48:32Now this is the hard part.
48:35Everybody was so phenomenal tonight.
48:41Tenderoni, which kings are up for elimination?
48:45Alexander the Great, we really liked your story, but your execution didn't really let us know what was happening.
48:51Big D, you are so weird, but we just want you to pay attention to the details of the costuming a little bit.
49:00Charles Galen King, we also loved your concept, but we just wish that your execution went a little bit further today.
49:09Pressure K, we love the vulnerability that you brought to the stage today, but we just wish that your full execution came out a little bit better.
49:17Pressure K, Charles Galen King, I'm sorry, but you are up for elimination.
49:27It is a competition.
49:28I felt like I didn't meet the criteria of bigness, but I still felt big.
49:35Bring it on!
49:36Even though I might go home, but bring it on!
49:38And the third king going into the final thrust will be...
49:45Alexander the Great.
49:46Coming into the bottom another week in the row, this is not how I saw the competition going for me, especially being in the top three in week one.
49:57Me going home could be a very real possibility, especially with the double elimination, but I'm hoping that whatever the thrust challenge is, I can save myself there.
50:08Big D, this means you are safe. Please join your fellow safe kings.
50:13I found out I was in the bottom three. Charlie on my left, Alex on my right. I still wasn't feeling sad.
50:21I'm feeling like I'm in the bottom with some big dogs. I'm feeling this big dog energy. Like, I'm happy to be here. Like, possible losing. Like, I'm not losing nothing.
50:30Alexander the Great, Pressure K, Charles Galen King, you will face off in the final thrust.
50:39You will return to the man cave where something sinister awaits.
50:50Facing terrors at every turn. Each of you will face your own demise in what we call the Blair Butch Project.
51:01A final horror will appear, which is your cue to give us a death scene that's larger than life.
51:10You must film yourself the whole time.
51:13Because this is so much fun. I get to die on stage. Just go. So I'm actually ready.
51:19Gentlemen, stay safe and may the best king make it out alive.
51:26I know that the rest of this competition I can absolutely smash out of the park.
51:32And I'm not ready to be done yet.
51:39Yeah, I'm a real king.
51:41I'm in the bottom three, and I understand why I'm here. I do not want to be stressed with the final thrust.
51:58I am a fan of being scared. I might not execute the horror, but I am a connoisseur of horror.
52:04So I know what the judges are looking for, I think.
52:08My strategy going into this final thrust is making myself laugh more than anybody else.
52:15Because if I make myself laugh, then I'm like, I'm having so much fun.
52:19Come on. I know you told me to be strong. I'm trying my damn hardest.
52:25Hello? Molasses? Hello, Big D?
52:30Kings? Murray? I...
52:36Hello? I thought I was in the man cave, but I think I've taken a wrong turn and ended up at the...
52:41Oh, my God!
52:43I got this in here.
52:49Behind you. Behind you.
52:51That's what I get for smoking that free weed.
52:53Where's the gender-neutral bathrooms? Oh, no! There's no gender-neutral bathrooms!
52:58Oh, okay.
53:03Hello? Hello?
53:06Oh.
53:07In the dark!
53:08Show game!
53:11Oh, oh, oh!
53:12Death by Texas, GLP!
53:17You're killing me! You're actually killing me with your jaw and your jokes, Murray!
53:27You're killing me.
53:36Kings, that was a Oscar-worthy performance.
53:44But only one of you can be the final boy.
53:48Our King's Court will now vote on who will stay in the competition.
53:54Liv.
53:55My vote for final boy is Charles Galen King.
54:00Tenderoni.
54:01My vote is for Pressure K.
54:04Vico.
54:05Charles King.
54:08Landon.
54:09Alexander the Great.
54:11Sasha.
54:12The talent in this competition is unprecedented for any stage for drag.
54:19Everyone should be so proud.
54:21I wish I had more votes to give.
54:24But my vote tonight for the person to stay is Charles Galen King.
54:33Charles Galen King, congratulations.
54:36You are safe.
54:37Your pursuit of the crown continues.
54:46I am so excited that I get to move on.
54:49But I see my two fellow kings going home, which is also sad.
54:56Alexander the Great, Pressure K. I'm sorry, but your time here has come to an end.
55:02Being eliminated, wearing this goddamn costume and these white-out contacts.
55:11Oh, no.
55:12Not like this.
55:13Not like this.
55:14I thought I was going to be in the finals.
55:17I think it's bullshit.
55:18Horror week was this early.
55:20This experience has taught me that your dream is going to take you exactly where you need
55:27to go.
55:28This is just the beginning.
55:29Honey, if I've made it this far, oh, you cannot get rid of me now.
55:33I made it.
55:34I feel like I made it.
55:35Like I really did cross over into a family.
55:37I felt like I got invited to the family reunion.
55:40Murray know me.
55:41I didn't lose anything.
55:43We are so proud of what you've done here.
55:49Please take a knee.
55:54I dub thee honorary members of the king of drag family.
56:03We are community and we always got your back.
56:07Please rise.
56:08Any parting words you have for us?
56:10Now, I want to say thank you to my kings.
56:12This has been a great experience.
56:14I have gained so much friends, best friends.
56:16We are bros.
56:17Come to the air.
56:18I got lemon pepper on deck.
56:21My message to everybody, what happened to us is not our fault, but it is our responsibility
56:28to heal.
56:29Pressure forever.
56:30I want to thank every single person for this incredible experience.
56:34Thank you, judges, my fellow kings.
56:36I have been dreaming of this moment my entire life.
56:40And for trans kids back home in Texas, you are loved.
56:45You are beautiful.
56:46And you are valid.
56:47And we are going to keep fighting to exist.
56:50Okay?
56:51No one will legislate us out of existence.
56:52Keep going.
56:53King Alexander the Great.
56:55King Pressure K.
56:58Please pack your Packers and head home.
57:01Go!
57:02I, myself, feel so loved, so beautiful, and so valid.
57:10I feel like I am truly going home a winner.
57:15I am incredibly moved, and I am so proud of the kings for their courageousness and their bravery.
57:23Now go home, get out of here before the sun rises and I turn into a pumpkin.
57:27Take care.
57:28Have a great day.
57:29If you want to see what happened in se.
57:30In the next day, do you want to see what happens in the next day?
57:32Don't worry about how your hands are a little bit.
57:33Do you have any tips?
57:34If you want to listen to this day.
57:35Yeah.
57:36Do you want to see what happens in a kiss?
57:37Do you want to see what happens in a kiss?
57:38Do you want to know what happens in a kiss?
