00:00Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Monday, July the 28th, just bringing you some of our headlines today.
00:06First of all, we have some arrests that have been made in Doncaster as police launched a huge swoop on sex trafficking, drugs and modern slavery across the region,
00:16following a raid on a massage parlour. Multiple warrants were executed as part of the operation, which took place last Wednesday, July the 23rd.
00:27All the details of the warrants that were carried out, it was across quite a large area actually and the people that were involved in that are all on the website this morning for you to take a look at.
00:38Then following last night's victory for the England women's football team, Doncaster politicians have given their praise, paid their tributes after they beat Spain to retain the European Championship title last night.
00:56The two sides were locked at 1-1 after normal time, went into extra time before England finally triumphed.
01:033-1 on penalties, quite gripping if you were watching it. I was stood in a train station watching it on my phone.
01:10There were quite some whoops of joy when we finally got that win.
01:14So, well done. Like I said, there's some tributes being paid from lots of politicians this morning.
01:22And then one from the council.
01:24A decision expected on a 186 home development on a former Greenbelt land has been deferred.
01:30It's due to go before the planning committee again following a site visit it relates to a field off Alberly Lane in Balbush South.
