00:00Good morning everybody. Monday again, July the 1st. Hopefully we're going to get some warmer weather.

00:07Fingers crossed. I'm a bit chilly this morning but there you go.

00:10Hope you've all had a lovely weekend and for football fans, you got over that rather painful England match last night.

00:18Yeah, it was not that we needed but by heck I was shouting at the telly.

00:23Anyway, on to some Doncaster news.

00:27Saturday saw yet another large police presence on the Clay Lane Estate.

00:34There's been a number of incidents over the last, well, about a week now and the police were seen in that area for the fourth time in six days.

00:48We have approached the police to find out what exactly is going on.

00:51We think there is some relation to other events that have taken place, one involving alleged shooting.

01:03But we will continue to monitor that and as and when the police get back to us we'll keep you updated on what they've got to say.

01:11Then also over the weekend I put out the list of candidates for the Doncaster North constituency.

01:20It's the second in our round-up of candidates for the forthcoming general election which takes place on Thursday.

01:30I'll be sending out another list at some point today of another ward so keep an eye out for that.

01:38There's a little bit of blurb from each of the candidates, those who have come forward.

01:44All of them were approached and given the opportunity to say something. Not all of them took that chance.

01:50So you can read from those who were willing to take part on the website today.

01:56Like I said, there's Doncaster Central up there and North and more to follow.

02:01And then finally, plans to replace some new units on an industrial estate at Wheatley Hills went before council last week.

02:12It was for a supermarket and that has been rejected by the council.
