00:00So this is the second day where Jelaine Maxwell
00:04is talking to officials at the Justice Department
00:07about what she knows about others who may have been involved
00:12in criminal activity with Jeffrey Epstein
00:14on that island or elsewhere.
00:16So far, we have not heard anything
00:19about anyone being implicated.
00:21Interesting thing about this is Jelaine Maxwell
00:24has been asked about this many times before,
00:27and she has always said she doesn't know anything more.
00:30So the problem is gonna be even if she talks now
00:33or spills the beans, as it were,
00:36I'm not sure it's gonna convince everybody.
00:39In fact, I'm certain it will not convince everybody.
00:41But today, Donald Trump talked about it,
00:43and significantly, Donald Trump talked about
00:47whether he would cut Jelaine Maxwell a big break if she talked.
00:54Would you consider a pardon or a commutation
00:56for Jelaine Maxwell if you cooperated?
00:58It's something I haven't thought about.
00:59It's really something I'm allowed to do it,
01:03but it's something I have not thought about.
01:04But you wouldn't...
01:05No way.
01:06No way has he not thought about that.
01:08Two things.
01:08Number one, he has previously said that he wouldn't.
01:11The White House has come out and said they wouldn't.
01:12And number two, there's no way he hasn't thought about it.
01:15And number three, if she had the dirt on him,
01:17he would partner in a second in exchange
01:20for keeping that quiet.
01:21Well, I do not see how he could possibly make a deal
01:25saying, provided you don't talk about me.
01:28I mean, there's no way that...
01:29There's no way.
01:30And also, he's Teflon.
01:31But again, there is nothing that we know of,
01:35certainly in the Justice Department file,
01:37that implicates him.
01:38But again, the Justice Department file is incomplete.
01:41There is.
01:41And we keep going back to the fundamental issue
01:44is there's a reason he has not greenlit
01:46the release of all records.
01:48There's something in there.
01:49Maybe it's just like, I just don't want the implication.
01:51I want the inference.
01:52He's mentioned multiple times.
01:54One person told me he is all over the file.
01:58But both people I've talked to have said
02:02there's nothing in it that implicates him.
02:04So it may just be the optics of being mentioned as much.
02:09The big thing people are talking about now
02:11is this letter that Trump allegedly wrote.
02:14The Wall Street Journal is saying that Trump wrote a letter
02:17drawing a nude woman and talking about how he and Epstein
02:23have kept, quote, wonderful secrets over the years.
02:25Now, this was a birthday book in 2003.
02:29And there are about 50 people,
02:31because he knew everybody in New York.
02:33And there are 50 people who wrote these letters.
02:36Trump says he did not write this.
02:37He's suing the Wall Street Journal.
02:38He's suing Rupert Murdoch.
02:40But he was asked about Epstein's birthday.
02:44He did not write a letter for Jeffrey Epstein's birthday.
02:47I don't even know what they're talking about.
02:49Now, somebody could have written a letter and used my name,
02:52but that's happened a lot.
02:53All you have to do is take a look at the dossier,
02:56the fake dossier.
02:57Everything's fake with that administration.
03:00Everything's fake with the Democrats.
03:02Take a look at what they just found about the dossier.
03:05Everything is fake.
03:07They're a bunch of sick people.
03:08What is interesting about this is that book
03:11is now being held by the Jeffrey Epstein estate.
03:15They have that book.
03:16They have said that if they are subpoenaed,
03:20if they subpoena the book,
03:22they will cooperate with a lawful subpoena.
03:26So if Congress subpoenas it,
03:27presumably they're going to see it.
03:29And now what Trump said before, it's all fake.
03:32And now he's saying somebody may have done it on my behalf.
03:35That's right.
03:35That's different.
03:36It's very different.
03:36It's also going to be different now that he knows,
03:39because it's been reported by the Journal,
03:40that a lot of other luminaries,
03:41Bill Clinton, Vera Wang, and some others,
03:43also have written him notes in this same book.
03:46We should say that Vera Wang talks about
03:48making Jeffrey Epstein The Bachelor.
03:51Again, this is 2003,
03:53years before he was charged or accused of sex trafficking.
03:57Bill Clinton wrote,
03:58It's reassuring, isn't it,
04:01to have lasted long across all the years of learning and knowing,
04:06adventures and something else that's illegible,
04:09and also to have your childlike curiosity,
04:13the drive to make a difference,
04:15and the solace of friends.
04:17A lot of people are making a big deal of childlike curiosity.
04:21I think that's unfair.
04:22It's an innocuous comment,
04:23except for the fact that we now know what Jeffrey Epstein did.
04:26But what we know in 2025 is not necessarily what anybody knew in 2003.
04:32Look, Bill Clinton, given his history, right?
04:34There's a jaundiced eye with everything Bill Clinton says.
04:37Given his history,
04:38and given his relationship with friends with Jeffrey Epstein, right?
04:42He's all over the Epstein files.
04:45Isn't it fair for people to sort of wonder if there was more intent there?
04:50Same with Donald Trump, by the way.
04:52Donald Trump is not a Puritan, right?
04:55Isn't it fair to wonder what they knew?
04:57See, this is the problem, too,
04:59with the birthday book,
05:01with the file itself,
05:03which is they're going to be putting out a lot of names
05:07where they really don't have evidence,
05:09but it is going to sully everybody mentioned.
05:13Jess calling from Vegas,
05:14and this new information is chilling.
05:17Bill Clinton and Vera Wang are two very rich and powerful people,
05:20and as mentioned before,
05:22the birthday messages were written
05:23before the Epstein abuse charges came to light,
05:25and they appeared harmless,
05:27but now they do make us question
05:28who knew what was happening
05:30and who turned a blind eye to what was happening.
05:32And the problem with that is that did they know in 2003,
05:38or were they innocent comments
05:39where looking back all of a sudden it has new meaning
05:44but didn't have meaning when they said it?
05:46And that may be one of the arguments
05:48that lawyers for some of these famous people would make
05:52about do not release the name of my client
05:56because what you're going to do is ruin this person
05:59without any evidence behind it.
06:02We'll see you next time.
06:03Bye-bye.
06:04Bye-bye.
