00:00Do you think this show could have happened without the larger-than-life creative experiences on Thor and sort of the genre build-up of what we do in the shadows?
00:10Oh, I don't know.
00:11Definitely Thor helped, you know, because the scale of this is quite big, like a movie, but then you have to...
00:20A lot of that is also Ra Vincent, who's the production designer, who worked on the Thor films with me and also worked on all of the Lord of the Rings films and the Hobbits and everything.
00:29So he's very used to, you know, building to scale and often, like, we'd get there and I'd be, Ra, why'd you build it this big?
00:36And, you know, it's only going to be in one episode.
00:39But it looks so great when you're shooting.
00:41He loves to build things really big and just to, you know, because if you're going to do it, you might as well do it properly.
00:46So it's very cool.
00:47Yeah, Ra also worked on Wellington Paranormal with me, and that's a very small budget and you have to move fast.
00:54So it was the mixture of the big movies with Taika and the small TV, like we've got to make them big, but we're doing it quickly.
01:03So that's all him.
01:05But we had both worked on the adaptation from what we're doing in the Shadows movie to the TV show, where we were trying to make it its own thing.
01:18And I think we took the same approach here, where we want some of the spirit, we want to capture the spirit of the movie, but make it its own thing and its own characters.
