00:00At training camp yesterday, Dak meeting with the media saying that intensity level is up and Cowboys getting ready to go.
00:06I think it's a good thing.
00:07I don't think there's necessarily, I mean, maybe one of them we had some punches going.
00:12But other than that, I mean, it's football.
00:16It's high emotions.
00:17You got guys out here practicing and competing for their life, competing for jobs.
00:22You've got to have that edge.
00:24I think that's a difference.
00:29That's the difference right there is how passionate these guys are.
00:32I mean, they're being taught and being told to compete every day.
00:35And some guys compete different ways, right?
00:37And I think when you put that together at times, you're going to have those disagreements.
00:41You're going to have those frustrations.
00:42But they've been doing a good job of, for the most part, viping each other up, looking in the face and realizing, OK, this is my teammate.
00:48I'm not going to take it there.
00:49And just as important as that, understanding that you can't take it there on game day either.
00:53So learning from it, controlling the emotions at the same time of being competitive.
00:58I mean, Coach says it all the time.
00:59We can be competitive without being combative.
01:01So I think it's a fine line.
01:03And I think we're flirting with it.
01:05And I think that's healthy.
01:07Yeah, nobody wants to see fights at training camp, especially amongst their own teammates.
01:12But usually that happens after like a week or two.
01:14I don't know that it happens on like day two or anything like that.
01:16But it shows you what the Cowboys are up to.
01:18All right, now what are the Pittsburgh Steelers up to?
01:21Man, do they look different going into training camp, right?
01:23Quarterback is Aaron Rodgers.
01:25Wide receiver is DK Metcalf.
01:27And they're more than just teammates, apparently, at this point.
01:30They're also staying with each other overnight in what they call a suite.
01:36Now, where this is on campus in the NFL, I'm not really sure.
01:40But here's Rodgers and that relationship budding between he and his star wide receiver.
01:45Not actually way different.
01:47We were at the dorms at beautiful St. Norbert's College for 14 years, first 14 years of my career.
01:55And in those years, I had to go from the third floor to the second floor.
02:00And finally, about year six or seven, I was on the first floor.
02:03So I'm on the first floor here, which is a good start.
02:06I got DK as my suite mate.
02:08So we're sharing a toilet and a shower.
02:10But I love, actually, I love this idea, this opportunity to be out here in the trove and to stay here and connect with the guys.
02:20Is that your choice to have DK as a suite mate or is that a Mike Tomlin assignment?
02:23No, I was surprised.
02:25I was here Tuesday night and not many other guys were here other than the rookies.
02:29And when I got in the room, I realized we were sharing something.
02:32I was, you know, secretly kind of hoping it wasn't a big lineman or something.
02:37Maybe somebody had, you know, cared about their hygiene a little bit.
02:41So when I walked in, I saw like a standard suitcase.
02:44I said, oh, I think it's going to be good.
02:46This is probably DK.
02:48Good stuff from Aaron Rodgers.
02:50All right.
02:51Finally, Houston Texans, of course, under some fire this year.
02:54Got to do better than they did last year for sure.
02:55Here's D'Amico Ryans, not worried about last season or the season before.
02:59For me, it's, I understand very quickly about our first two years, like with the success that we had.
03:06Like, yeah, it was great.
03:08But you have to forget that very quickly because to me, again, it doesn't, it doesn't predict.
03:14It doesn't really guarantee what's going to happen now.
03:17And every year, I tell our coaches, I tell our players this, every year the team changes.
03:23You're going to have some additions to your team each and every year.
03:27So it's all about how does that puzzle fit together?
03:30How quickly can we come together?
03:31Can we connect as a 2025 Texans?
03:34Like, I truly believe that.
03:36So if I'm harping on what we did in 24, that won't allow me to fully commit and fully dedicate myself to building this team,
03:44this roster in a manner that we need to be to go out and be great.
03:49And it'll be a growth process, right?
03:50We won't just, I'll tell you, you don't just start off where you ended last year in the playoffs.
03:55There's a lot of work that goes into getting back to that moment.
03:58It's not just guaranteed to you.
04:00So how bad do these guys want it?
04:02How bad do our coaches want it?
04:04We've got to put in the work to put ourselves in that position.
04:06It's going to be one day at a time, one game at a time, and we'll see where we end up.
04:12And by this time next week, we'll have our first preseason game of the year on tap.
