00:00I don't have high expectations for the Colts. I don't know what's in store for Shane Steichen
00:04and that team. Because why? We don't know who the starting quarterback is going to be. So let's
00:08start here. If you look just at the odds market to be the starter day number one, Anthony Richardson
00:13is the favorite at a minus 130 price. Daniel Jones, a slight underdog now to plus 102. Riley Leonard
00:18at an 80 to one. I always thought when the offseason began, Joe, this was a team that's
00:23going to say, Anthony Richardson, until the wheels fall off, we are going to play you this year
00:29because we have to understand if you get hurt again, you're going to get hurt every single
00:33year. Obviously in your career, we can't have you here. If you can play really well, maybe we have
00:37a future. If you are really bad on this football field and can't lead and perform, we're going to
00:41cut and get rid of you anyway. But at least you would have finality. Then we start here in the
00:45offseason like, hey, that shoulder injury not healed up. He's got to miss some time. And it just felt
00:49like it was going to be Daniel Jones's team, which is the exact opposite of what you wanted. Daniel
00:54Jones being your starting quarterback, he's not going to be your franchise guy. Let me start with
00:57Anthony Richardson with you and the expectations for what you've come to see over the past couple
01:03of years and entering into this all season right up to the start of training camp this year.
01:08I honestly don't know what the Colts thought was going to happen here. You're talking about a guy,
01:17Donnie, that had exactly one year under his belt at Florida as a college football starter. And even then,
01:26everyone said, wow, what great athletic abilities, a big guy. Wow, that's great. But the problem is
01:31he doesn't know where he's throwing the ball. And in the NFL, even a guy his size, you're not running
01:38in the NFL unless you plan on having a very short career. So we already know the shoulder issue
01:44because he's running. He has shown flashes of being, you know what, not a great quarterback,
01:50a great athlete. But that doesn't cut it in the NFL. So they threw him to the wolves right off the
01:57bat. He gets hurt. Now, all of a sudden, he doubts everything. And he's in training camp a couple of
02:02days, Donnie. And he's short hopping guys in 11 and 11 drills. He's thrown intercept. He looks like he
02:10has no clue as to what is going on. But why did we expect him to come in like this polished product
02:17and think that Indy of all places was somehow going to turn him around? Hasn't turned him
02:23around. It's actually made him worse. Yeah. Taking a flyer because we knew the unbelievable
02:29athletic ability coming out of Florida. That was always there. And it thought from the thought
02:33process was, well, he is going to be a little bit of a reclamation project. And usually you say that
02:37for a guy that's like 34 years old, just trying to get the last couple, you know, squeeze out of
02:41the juice there. But that's not the case. It was like, all right, we understand what we're getting
02:44out of Florida. He'll sit behind some quarterbacks. We'll have packages for him. But the maturity of
02:49the position is needed by saying, I might not play for one or two years. I'm going to get in some of
02:54these games. Sooner or later, it's going to be my team. Well, now we're a few years into his NFL
02:57career. We know nothing about the guy other than I'm really fast. I can run. I can dominate a game
03:02that way. But I do get really tired. I like to pull myself out of games. And I'm injured every single
03:06time I enter a football game. I can't finish it. So it doesn't feel like there's a lot to say,
03:11well, he struggled with new coaches. He's not struggling with new coaches at this point.
03:15So I can, it's a very good offensive coordinator. It will get the best out of them. And that's the
03:18problem. You have wide receivers. You have a solid offensive line. You have one of the best running
03:22backs in football. This should be working, but it seems like it's not working because number one,
03:26he's never been accurate. And maybe you can't teach that. But number two, you're right. If you're
03:30running game as a quarterback is what you lean on. You're not finishing many, many football games here in
03:35the NFL, Joe. No, no. Especially when you're trying to run over guys. I mean, listen,
03:40he can throw the ball 80 yards on the fly. We know that. We've seen it. But again, I wish they
03:46would have just allowed him to spend the year. They were in such a rush to hurry up and get them
03:51onto the field because somehow or another Indy thought they were an actual playoff team a couple
03:57of seasons ago. That's not it. I mean, he was a guy that needed to sit on the sidelines a couple of
04:03seasons to try to get acclimated to the speed of the NFL game and what's going on. Not to mention,
04:09is this a lead? Is this a guy that's going to lead your franchise and the men in the locker room
04:15there? Does he strike you as that kind of guy who took himself off the field because he was out of
04:19breath? Like, I don't like what in the world did you? It's not like he was a fifth round pick,
04:25Donnie. They went out of their way to get him in the first round and nobody else did.
04:29What a sweetheart.
04:31And that attitude.
04:33You know, you have to go out of your future.
04:36So, I don't want to take eight gold standard to do this.
04:39And if you don't share value with a friend that's going in two rounds,
04:41it was really like the same word that I named whom the fire and said Scheed got
04:46even though it's not going in the wrong place in the middle of the field.
04:48And that's what came up with hisала this Kopie Center.
04:51We're focused on how close those numbers.
04:53So, I decided not to forgive myself if he was a satisfying target, and most likely threat
04:54who had become really happy as part of the day.
