00:19to believe one of the two teams the mariners or the rangers can overtake the astros or

00:24nope they just don't have that pedigree astros gonna hold this down

00:27i mean but the astros are beat up i mean the injuries are piling up left and right with them

00:34it's hard because of the experience with the astros and that bullpen by the way is a championship

00:41bullpen that's uh that's a bullpen that if they don't bury them for the rest of the regular season

00:47come the postseason that's a bullpen with a lead that's probably not going to lose many games here

00:53but seattle is fascinating to me because they've got kirby back right they've got logan gilbert back

01:00they got castillo who's been much better now uh the second half of the year and this is a lineup that

01:07they're playing with power they've they can manufacture runs i mean that seattle should not be slept on i

01:14can't believe i'm saying it i think the rest of that i think texas is done but i think seattle is far

01:20from fitness than that division it's interesting it really is like they're trying to get those bats

01:25up there we always know the pitching can certainly turn around and for the mariners a lot of good

01:30young pitching prospects that have had some pretty good stays here in major league baseball it's almost

01:34like that's a team that's lying in wait at this point as we see but if we do line up the teams we

01:39just talked about the division leaders right blue jays astros and tigers the wild card teams if the

01:44season ended today in that four spots the yankees the five spots the mariners the six spot how about

01:49those boston red sox and just behind them the rays and the rangers if we hit that cutoff line and say

01:54okay the red sox are in the rays and the rangers i look at the rangers and say there's so much talent

02:01and the expectations before the season they weren't living up to playing their best baseball right now

02:05getting healthy jacob de grom looks like he's sensational he evolved back from the il as a true

02:10one-two punch could it be the rangers that crashed the playoff party here for you joe nir is there

02:15somebody else in that list that you feel can get in that wild card round we i mean we bet them at a

02:21pretty good price a little over a month ago because i thought maybe just maybe if they can get cory

02:26seager back healthy those bats can show up and sure enough seager has carried them offensively

02:32since he's been healthy but you and i both know you can't rely on him because yeah would another trip

02:38to the il shock you with seager it wouldn't me uh but a lot of these guys have not lived up to their

02:44expectations uh the bats just weren't there and outside of de grom and avaldi i don't like that

02:52bullpen of the rangers at all and i don't know if there's anything they can do with the deadline to

02:57improve it the rangers are gonna have to slug their way into beating houston and seattle they are

03:03more than capable but my goodness i uh hard to trust them at this point
