EU Commission accused of mining secrecy in scramble for raw materials
Green/EFA EU lawmakers say they cannot access impact assessments for ‘strategic’ mining projects approved under the Critical Raw Materials Act, accusing the European Commission of lacking transparency and accountability.

00:52The MEPs quizzed the Commission on six projects, ranging from Spain to New Caledonia.
00:58Which they feared were being rushed through over local concerns, asking to see what assessments had been done.
