Ghaziabad: Two men disguised as food delivery agents looted a jewellery shop in broad daylight on Thursday. The robbery at Mansi Jewellers occurred around 3:30 PM and was captured on CCTV.
The accused, wearing helmets and Blinkit and Swiggy uniforms, forcibly entered the store, pushed an employee aside, and began looting ornaments. One was seen throwing a chair across the counter to grab more items, while the other stuffed jewellery into a backpack.
Within minutes, the duo fled on a two-wheeler. Around 20 kg of silver and 125 grams of gold were stolen.
The shop owner said he was in the washroom during the incident and rushed out after hearing the caretaker shout “chor chor.” Police reached the spot within 20 minutes and launched an investigation.
