00:00Welcome everybody to the Drivers Press Conference ahead of the FIA Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix.
00:06In our first group today we have Fernando Alonso closest to me, then Franco Colopinto in the middle
00:12and Nico Hülkenberg furthest away from me.
00:15And Hulke, can we see you in a minute?
00:17Franco, let's come to you.
00:19We've had a short break since Silverstone.
00:22Have you had a chance to just reflect on the six races that you've done for the team so far?
00:28And what conclusions have you reached?
00:31Yeah, it's been good.
00:31I think to have a break, to reset and to go back to the factory, work a bit with the guys
00:36and really focus on what we need to improve.
00:39Keep working with the engineers and everyone back at the factory was good.
00:45A little break to reset as well.
00:47So, yeah, ready for SPA.
00:50When you look at the data, in what areas of performance do you think you can still make the most progress?
00:56I think there has been different tracks that, you know, I've had some different weaknesses,
01:04but especially in long runs have been quite strong lately.
01:08We are still focusing quite a bit in performance, in low fuel.
01:12I'm still lacking in the new tire runs most of the time.
01:18So, yeah, working with the car to find that confidence that sometimes I lack in the very high-speed corners.
01:25But I think generally it's been improving.
01:28I started quite strong in Silverstone.
01:31Of course, it didn't end as we wanted, but I think we did some good progress.
01:36Goals for this weekend here at SPA?
01:37I think maximizing the opportunities.
01:40It's going to be a tricky weekend with the sprint race, with the weather forecast as well.
01:46So, I think try to maximize the car we have, the opportunities.
01:50Try to be on top of the weather.
01:53All right. Thank you for that, Franco.
01:54Fernando, let me go.
01:55Thank you.
01:56Question to Franco.
01:57So, it was recently announced that MotoGP will race in Buenos Aires in the old F1 track with some changes.
02:04Just wanted to get your reaction to it and probably what you've seen from the changes to the layout.
02:09And if you see this as a first step towards trying to bring F1 back to Argentina.
02:17I think it's great to have MotoGP back in Buenos Aires now.
02:21It's a country that, you know, there is full of very, very passionate fans.
02:26And it's great to see the sport coming back.
02:29Of course, Formula 1 would be a bit more tricky to go there.
02:35Especially at track changes.
02:37I think they are more for a bike than for a Formula 1 car.
02:41But it will be great in the future.
02:43If they can do something about that, it will be, I think, amazing for the fans and for F1 to see what they can actually achieve there.
02:51I would love that.
02:52Of course, it's one of my dreams.
02:53But it looks a little bit, I think, far away still.
02:58A lot of work to be done for F1 to go there.
03:02But it will be great if in the future it can become a reality.
03:07Thank you.
03:08Hoffman from RTL Luxembourg.
03:10We are doing a future about physiotherapists in Formula 1.
03:14How important those persons are for you during F1 weekends?
03:19Thanks.
03:20A question for all of three.
03:21Okay.
03:22Who would like to start?
03:26Fernando, let's start with you.
03:29Fernando?
03:31Nico?
03:32They are very important.
03:35I think nowadays they are getting more and more important.
03:38You know, we spend a lot of time with them on track, off track.
03:42And, you know, sometimes the cars start to be a bit harsh on the body, especially when the board pausing started.
03:49Then it's good to have a good physio next to you to fix the body a little bit.
03:55Especially maybe for Fernando a bit more.
03:59We recover quick.
04:01Yeah, I mean, they are important.
04:03Even though the cars are now very easy physically.
04:07So, it's good for the young guys that they didn't experience the full attack.
04:11You know, we are like 10 seconds slower in the race than qualified now.
04:16When we put the fuel and the degradations.
