Elf - Carolina County Ball 1974 (USA, Hard Blues Rock)
Elf - a group of New York (New York City), active in 1967-1975, respectively. First of all, know that this is the first professional team of vocalist Ronnie James Dio (Ronald James Padavona), before that, however, was still an amateur group of Ronnie Dio and the Prophets ... The group originally called The Electric Elves, and then - The Elves, and then - Elf. By 1972 (the debut issue longpleya Elf) of the original members left Dio, guitarist David Feinstein and drummer Gary Driscoll. But Feinstein then went away and was replaced by Steve Edwards ... In 1975 Ritchie Blackmore took them all (except Edwards - guitar it was not needed) in his new band Rainbow and recorded an album Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow. Perhaps the band's name came from the song Rainbow Rainbow on this second album, Elf ... In general, I must say that Blackmore never suffered bouts of inspiration and notions ... But if it once, and somewhere something heard or read - you will never forget (and often used) ... Well, it is not blues ... And it's not dead ...
