Hey Dailymotion friends! I’m so excited to share my experience with the Neuronic LIGHT helmet, my favorite wellness device right now. As a mom to my toddler Spencer, my sleep is super fragmented—he wakes me up two, three or four times a night, and I’m tuned into every little cough or sound he makes. Getting back to sleep after that has been a real challenge. Research shows that chronic sleep deprivation can increase inflammation in the brain, which can leave you feeling foggy or like your head’s inflamed. I’ve definitely felt that—like my brain’s red-hot some days.
Since using the Neuronic LIGHT helmet, I’ve noticed some amazing changes. I truly believe my sleep quality has improved, and I’m falling back asleep much faster after Spencer wakes me, instead of lying awake for hours. Studies suggest that photobiomodulation (PBM), the technology in this helmet, can help reduce brain inflammation by supporting mitochondrial function and reducing oxidative stress. I like to imagine it’s helping calm any inflammation I might have in my head.
Another big plus? My morning headaches, which used to hit me hard, feel less severe now. I’m also noticing a slightly lighter, more positive mood in the mornings, even when I’m running on low sleep. Research indicates PBM may support mood by boosting brain health and easing stress-related inflammation, which really aligns with what I’m feeling.
I want to be very clear: this is not medical advice—just my personal experience with the Neuronic LIGHT helmet as a wellness tool. I’m honestly thrilled with the benefits I’m seeing, and I’m so glad to have this device in my life. 00:00So I've been using this helmet for a little while now and top benefits I've experienced are, well I'll tell you those, but the sleep for me at the moment is terrible because Spencer still wakes me up minimum of twice a night, sometimes three times a night.
00:19And so the sleep has been obviously really, really hard. And what's been a real problem for mine is getting back to sleep, especially around the sort of four-ish mark when it's nearly daytime again and I always sort of start the day knowing I haven't got enough sleep, but you know, I can't really get back to sleep at that time.
00:38What I've genuinely noticed since I started using this is that in the breaks between him waking me up, the quality of my sleep seems to have improved and also there's more nights now where I fall asleep after that sort of pushing towards dawn time where he wakes me up.
00:55So that's a genuine benefit I've experienced anyway since I started using this. And it's really interesting because, you know, years ago when I was writing the articles for like the Weekend Australian magazine about the people with Parkinson's that were starting to use this, that was actually one of the first benefits that they reported as well.
01:14So it's just interesting that really does coincide with mine. Another thing that I genuinely find has improved, I mean, the lack of sleep is still really brutal.
01:24But what's been happening is every morning I just have a massive headache and I do believe that months and months and months of that broken sleep have, I don't know, I'm not a neuro specialist, so I have no idea.
01:38I'm just sort of guessing and telling my experience, but it's sort of a real sore headache and if you think of inflammation, I can just picture what's going on in my brain.
01:50Like it feels red and sore and it feels inflamed. I don't know if it is or not because I can't see inside my head, but it feels inflamed.
01:59And obviously one of the benefits of red and infrared light therapy is to reduce inflammation.
02:04So since I started using this, I genuinely believe the severity of the headaches have lessened with that absolutely brutal lack of sleep that I've been experiencing.
02:14And it's possible, I'm just surmising here, obviously this is just my experience and anecdotally, but it could be that the level of inflammation possibly that's been building up with the lack of sleep, possibly this is helping to reduce it.
02:28So I really do find that that hopefully, maybe, but anyway, that's a genuine benefit I've experienced.
02:34So I do believe I've had some better sleep since I started using this and the severity of the headaches that I sort of seem to always wake up with in the morning at the moment, given I'm not getting that really good block of uninterrupted sleep.
02:49And it's very rare that I think my brain's got that time to go into that little deep wave cleansing, proper sleep that you really need to feel really good.
03:00And, you know, possibly as well, maybe some mood improvements, like even when I haven't slept, it's a little bit sort of a lighter feeling.
03:11But look, I absolutely love it.
03:13And I had a friend that used it and she had a headache at the time that she put it on her head and she genuinely believed that it lessened her headache as well without taking Panadols or anything.
03:25So I just love it.
03:27So you can see that little light maybe that it is on.
03:29It is infrared so you can't see the lights, but I absolutely love it.
03:34So I've worked up slowly.
03:35So I started with the 10-minute basic.
03:38I still have not gone with the phone app or anything.
03:41I needed something really simple.
03:43And if you do watch that video that I did with Liam, I said that that's what we need, something simple right now.
03:49So I've just got the simple program.
03:52And so I started off with 10 minutes.
03:55And then after a few goes, I then did the 20-minute.
03:59And the first time I tried the 30-minute, when it went into that last 10-minute thing, because it goes in 10-minute cycles,
04:07I felt a few minutes into that that I'd had enough.
04:10Like, because you can feel it working.
04:12You can feel sort of, some people describe it as a bit of a tingling.
04:16I felt it as kind of a bit of a pulsing.
04:18I think I'm quite used to it now.
04:20Like, I don't really feel the purpose.
04:24Isn't this behaving in front of my eyes?
04:26So, like, yeah, it's a different feeling for everyone.
04:30But the first time I went into that 30-minute, I did feel that I'd had enough suddenly.
04:35Like, after a few minutes in, it was a strange feeling.
04:38Like, it was, like, maybe a bit more of a sort of intense feeling inside my head.
04:43And I thought, no, I've had enough.
04:45So I switched it off.
04:45But then I went back to 20-minute cycles for another few days.
04:51And now I'm back to 30-minute cycles.
04:53And I can tolerate it fine.
04:55So I think what I'm going to stick to, because the benefits, I'm really experiencing benefits.
05:01I absolutely love this.
05:02What I'm going to stick to, I think, is 30 minutes.
05:06And it's so portable.
05:08Look, I just put the little thing here, like I do with the Medela breast pump motor.
05:14And, like, I really can.
05:16I do chores in the morning.
05:17Like, this morning I had it on, folding the blankets and after Spencer's bed and all of that.
05:22So I really can just use it as I walk around, which is obviously the benefit of this.
05:27So I'm probably going to stick to, oh, look, it just finished.
05:30So to start, so that was only the first 10 minutes.
05:33So to start it for the second cycle, you just press that button there.
05:37So now this is into the 20-second, the second 10 minutes, sorry.
05:42So I'm going to do it for 20 minutes now, probably even just like 30.
05:47So I think I'll probably stick to 30 minutes twice a day.
05:52And I am having probably one at least day off a week.
05:56But you don't have to, but that's just what I'm doing.
