00:13Llanamana.
00:14Wonderful. What do you like about Oswestry?
00:17The people. All very friendly.
00:20Brilliant. What would you recommend people to come out and see here in Oswestry?
00:24The park, obviously. That's one thing.
00:27There's quite a few nice shops, little personal shops.
00:31Brilliant. Is there anything in particular, any businesses in particular you'd want people to try out?
00:39I think the cafes.

00:58Yes.
00:59But yes, lots of things for the old people and for the young people.
01:03So, a very good play area and a big field.
01:08So, yep.
01:09Do you mind just introducing yourself?
01:11Hi, I'm Trina from Tom Tree Farm.
01:13I sell cheese, jams, chutneys and eggs from my farm.
01:17Perfect. Where's the farm based?
01:19Just outside Whitchurch, a little place called Lower Heap.
01:22Wonderful.
01:23How often are you here in Oswestry then?
01:25Pretty much every Wednesday.
01:26I'd say every Wednesday, but I'll get some stick for that.
01:29Because if the weather is bad...
01:31Most Wednesdays.
01:32Most Wednesdays, yeah.
01:33Yes.
01:34I've been here for about seven, eight years.
01:35Wonderful.
01:36Yeah.
01:37What about Oswestry in particular?
01:38The people.
01:39It's not the nearest market to me.
01:42It takes me a good sort of 45, 50 minutes, but I love the people.
01:47I love the traders.
01:48I love the atmosphere.
01:49I love everything about it.
01:50I've got a lot of good customers and a good following and I just love coming.
01:54Yeah, perfect.
01:55Is there any way in particular in Oswestry that you'd recommend people to come and have a look at?
01:58The bar, the market itself.
01:59I bought food stalls.
02:00Yes, of course.
02:01Of course.
02:02I know Aroma, that's a lovely cafe.
02:05It's very, very popular.
02:07Lots of people use that as a sort of a socialising kind of place.
02:13Sit down, have a coffee, have a chat.
02:15I'm just trying to think of any other places really.
02:18But as I don't leave the stall very often, I don't know massively.
02:23I know there's a fantastic Jewelers opposite Aroma as well.
02:26And like I say, lots of good stalls.
02:27Yeah, perfect.
02:28Anything else about Oswestry that you'd like to mention?
02:34I don't know.
02:35No, that's okay.
02:36I just, I don't know.
02:37It's, yeah, I think it's just the people.
02:40Since I've been coming, I've been here, like I said, seven or eight years.
02:43Everybody's so supportive.
02:45Everybody's so kind.
02:46You know, if I need to pop to the toilet or if I need something to look out to my stall.
02:51Everyone's so trustworthy.
02:53And we did the Food and Drink Festival recently.
02:56Yes.
02:57Which was amazing.
02:58It was a fantastic weekend.
03:00And I still really loved it.
03:02It was brilliant.
03:03Perfect.
03:05Brilliant.
03:10Do you mind introducing yourself?
03:11Yes, sure.
03:12I'm Rosie.
03:13I'm the manager, one of the managers here at Booker Bookshop.
03:15Worked here for over ten years now.
03:18One of the things I love about Oswestry is like all the great independent businesses we have.
03:24There's a fantastic community of businesses.
03:26And we all support each other.
03:28And there's loads on, like whether you've got little kids or you're visiting as a tourist.
03:34Or you live here.
03:35There's always like something for everyone.
03:37Yeah.
03:38And just nice vibes.
03:39Yeah.
03:40Are there any businesses in particular that you'd recommend people to come out and try?
03:44Oh, a difficult one.
03:45Well, obviously here at the bookshop, we always love to welcome new people and current customers.
03:50We've got Honeysuckle down the road, which is an organic whole food shop.
03:55It's been there for like 40 odd years.
03:56Yeah.
03:57We have got, let me see, Pickles across the road.
04:01It's a really nice gift shop.
04:03We've got some fantastic small businesses like, we've got the Willow Gallery as well.
04:09It's an art gallery, an art space.
04:11We've got Designs in Mind too, and they have a little shop.
04:14So they take like referrals from mental health prescriptions and stuff like that.
04:21So people can come and enjoy the space and do some creative stuff.
04:24Yeah.
04:25Perfect.
