00:00Well, I think that the president, Trump, is very mercurial, and I think that he, as somebody who has dealt with the Mar-a-Lago crew for the last eight years, he is very unpredictable.
00:12That is both a benefit and a negative.
00:15I believe here, though, the president has made a strategic calculation that in order for negotiations to be had, he needs to gain leverage.
00:25And I think he thinks, and I think this is a mistake with all due respect to President Trump, I think he thinks that by flooding in what little weapons we have remaining in our arsenals here to the Ukrainians, that will somehow allow him to gain leverage.
00:39But I'm looking at 160,000 Russian troops being readied for an offensive this summer.
00:45They're massing along Donetsk, Kharkov, and Zaporizhia.
00:49To me, this is not boding well for the Ukrainians.
00:53My hope had been that we would already be well into negotiated settlement by now, but the president, Trump, has decided to not make good on his campaign promise.
01:03This could very well come back to bite him and NATO, because Russia is poised to win this thing, in my opinion.
