Groomingdales Dog Salon and Spa officially opened its doors on Tuesday, July 22, following an open day on Sunday to mark the new store’s arrival at 10a Bankhead Avenue.

00:13Owner Rachel Williamson is delighted to have now opened her first business venture,

00:18alongside trainee Bailey Wood.

00:21Yes, obviously it's my first business venture.

00:23I'm very excited and very hopeful that we're going to do fantastic.

00:30My expectations to obviously do really well, continue to grow and hopefully maybe look at getting another shop later down the line,

00:45a full team, because it's currently just myself and just to keep growing and obviously I've got Bailey.

00:55Rachel and Bailey showed me around the facilities at the new Dog Grooming Salon,

01:03including this hydro bath and also the relaxation room.

01:08After telling me that she hopes to add more staff to deal with demand at Groomingdale's,

01:15Rachel also revealed more about what customers can expect at the new Dog Grooming Salon in Bankhead.

01:20I expect a luxury spa experience.

01:24We only use natural, vegan, grocery-free products.

01:29We also really take our time on the dogs.

01:32We make it quite calming for them.

01:34And we also just want to give the best possible experience that we can

01:40so that we leave here feeling a hundred times better, feel happy and feel relaxed,

01:46be it that it's in our relaxation room, or the massaging that they're getting from us,

01:52or even in the hydro bath.
