00:00On the night of 19th July 2025, a 23-year-old Indian student, Charanpreet Singh was brutally
00:12assaulted in an alleged racial attack at 9.22pm near Kintar Avenue in Central Adelaide in Australia.
00:21Singh and his wife had just parked their car to view the city's famous light installations
00:26when they were ambushed by a group of five men who emerged from another vehicle.
00:32Without provocation, the group began shouting racial slurs,
00:35including *** off Indian, before violently attacking Singh.
00:40Eyewitnesses in social media videos confirm that the attackers struck Singh with metal knuckles
00:46or sharp objects, delivering multiple punches and kicks to his face and body.
00:51His wife, present at the scene, filmed part of the assault and screamed for help.
00:56But the attackers continued until Singh was left unconscious on the street.

01:07Singh was quickly transported to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
01:10Medical staff confirmed he suffered from brain trauma, multiple facial fractures,
01:16a broken nose and serious injuries to his eyes that required surgery.

02:44Singh speaking from hospital said that the event made him feel unsafe, stating,

02:56The arrested suspect has been released on bail.
02:59Police are continuing their search for the remaining culprits,
