03:06Tonight, we're reviewing Raw.
03:08While we get into today's news and rumors, lots going on, let's talk about the things that I enjoyed about Raw,
03:13because I'm going to be honest with you.
03:14I thought it was really par for the course show.
03:16It wasn't bad.
03:16It wasn't great.
03:17It was on par, I suppose.
03:19The CM Punk-Gunther stuff, I really thought there should have been some physicality.
03:24Look, we have no time to build this match for SummerSlam.
03:28It's got to be heavy.
03:30It's got to be serious.
03:31And let's look at it this way.
03:32People right now, we've got people on both sides of the coin trying to debate whether it's going to be Punk going over Gunther,
03:37or whether Gunther's going to go over Punk.
03:39Whether Seth is going to cash in on Punk or on Gunther.
03:42Remember, Seth's saying that he was on a mission to make sure Punk was never a world champion again.
03:48I understand he's injured.
03:49Many of us still think this is a storyline issue.
03:52If he is, in fact, this is a whole Machiavellian-style work situation here, and not a shoot like it was originally reported,
04:03then we could see him come out and either cost CM Punk the championship, prevent him from winning the championship,
04:09or after he wins the championship, he could come out and cash in on him.
04:12I don't know.
04:13But there are the other side of the coin of people looking at Gunther and saying,
04:17if you look long-term, look at the rest of the SummerSlam card, and you realize that John Cena, Cody Rhodes,
04:22Cody, especially coming out of SmackDown last week, looking very heel-ish in the way he performed,
04:29could this be the double turn people have theorized coming up at SummerSlam?
04:33And if so, does Seth Rollins come out and cash in for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship rather than a World Heavyweight Championship on Raw?
04:44I don't know.
04:45I could see it going either way.
04:47I could also say that Seth Rollins, maybe Paul Heyman was being legit on Raw this week.
04:51Maybe he really is out for the foreseeable future a very long time, and maybe this is all a complete shoot.
04:57Maybe Seth is legitimately injured.
04:59I don't know.
05:00When you watch the replays, it looks like he may have hurt his ankle, but I don't think he tore the knee like everybody thought he did in the past.
05:07So I don't know.
05:08They did say he'll be in town to watch Becky Lynch perform at SummerSlam, so he'll be there.
05:12It won't be a surprise if he's...
05:13You know, I think maybe that's damage control.
05:15Somebody sees him and reports around, oh, Seth's in the building.
05:19Well, yeah, he's there to watch his wife.
05:21So they're saying that now, but he could very well be there if this is all a work, which, let's be honest, it would be a phenomenal work if it is.
05:28I actually hope it is, because I don't want anybody to be injured, especially Seth Rollins, who's really carried a lot of the workload on this show for quite a while.
05:37But that being said, back to the conversation.
05:39Punk and Gunther, I don't know which way this is going to go, but I don't think they're building it like a must-see match.
05:46And I also saw, busted open, I believe I saw, the theory that Gunther and CM Punk was going to headline night one.
05:55My opinion, purely my opinion, is absolutely no disrespect to CM Punk or Gunther.
06:01Anybody who knows anything about me knows I'm a huge fan of both guys.
06:04I think they're both phenomenal, some of the best to ever walk into the ring.
06:07However, I think that they should be opening match night one, because I think the main event night one,
06:15and remember what, like, Chris Jericho was always angry about, he and Kevin Owens, the year of the Festival of Friendship,
06:20not going on for the main event, and if you don't go on last, you want to go first?
06:25Same mentality here.
06:26I don't think they should close out the show, because all the men closed out WrestleMania.
06:30This is the first ever two-night SummerSlam.
06:32You already know John Cena, Cody Rhodes is going to close out night two, so give night one's main event spot to the women.
06:39Give it to Rhea, give it to Naomi, give it to Io, and put Punk and Gunther on first.
06:45Now, if Punk and Gunther go out there and, let's say, Punk wins, Seth, I don't think, if Punk wins, I don't think Seth cashes in.
06:52Because even if Punk wins and Seth cashes in, he didn't prevent him from becoming a world champion.
06:57He still gets to put that on his resume, which is what Seth Rollins is claiming to stop.
07:01So if Punk wins, and we don't see Seth come out, interesting stuff.
07:06Makes me think maybe Seth really is injured.
07:09If Gunther retains, then it makes you think ahead.
07:13If Cody were to take the championship off of John Cena and not have a Seth cash in,
07:20and if it is a double turn, John Cena and Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship
07:24and John Cena's 19th World Championship, or I'm sorry, 18th World Championship,
07:29is very much a possibility, which I'd be okay with that as well.
07:33Why not?
07:34Give John a run with that brand new World Heavyweight Championship belt that he's never held before.
07:38You know, I'm okay with that.
07:39I actually think that's more intriguing to me than postponing the Cody Rhodes stuff
07:44until the end of the year doing the double turn there and all that kind of stuff.
07:47So it really depends what happens here.
07:49Now, so we hear from CM Punk.
07:50We hear from Gunther.
07:51There's some face-to-face conversation.
07:54Nothing that really strikes me as being pivotal.
07:57This could all have been a vignette, to be honest with you.
08:00There was nothing physical, nothing exciting.
08:02Rusev and Sheamus kind of surprised.
08:04Sheamus picking up the clean victory over Rusev.
08:06But I love what they're doing here because, look,
08:08if you're not going to put Rusev into the World Championship picture,
08:10which I'm going to be honest with you, that's what I haven't done right to begin with.
08:13But if you're not going to do that, then why make him be undefeated?
08:17Go ahead.
08:17Let him pick up a loss to a brogue kick.
08:19Why not?
08:20I actually think down the line, they may actually put these two back together as a tag team
08:24because think about how dominant they would be on Raw as the World Tag Team Champions.
08:29I'm just saying.
08:30I wouldn't be opposed to it.
08:31I hate the whole League of Nations comparison, but I get it.
08:34I understand it, and I have no problem with it.
08:37Let's talk about some things I was not impressed with.
08:39Now, I love the fact that the LWO pick up the win in the Tag Team Championship Contenders match.
08:47Look, I get it.
08:48It's somebody different.
08:49We've seen the Creed Brothers.
08:51We've seen the New Day.
08:52We don't need them again.
08:54I just don't buy them as a credible threat to the Tag Team Championship, no matter who has it.
08:59I don't know anybody who's looking forward to seeing that match.

09:04And look, let's be honest, and I don't mean any disrespect to I.
