00:03The tragedy unfolding in Gaza is a test of our shared humanity.

00:10Entire families are being murdered.

00:13Children, even babies, have been killed.

00:16Others are wasting away from hunger.

00:19This appalling disregard for human life and dignity must end

00:24for it is a violation of the most basic moral code.

00:31Malaysia calls on all world leaders to act with urgency.

00:35Every government that believes in international law,

00:39every nation that claims to value human life must speak with one voice.

00:45In this regard, I urge all those with influence over Israel

00:49to find the courage to act decisively.

00:53I especially appeal to respected United States President Donald Trump

01:01to use that influence to press for an immediate end to the killing,

01:07stop the indiscriminate bombings,

01:11and ensure that humanitarian aid reaches those in need without obstruction.

01:18This is the hour for moral leadership.

01:21This is the time to uphold the values we claim to defend.

01:27Malaysia stands ready to work with all nations,

01:31North and South, East and West,

01:35to bring relief to Gaza and the Palestinians,

01:38to restore the basic principles of humanity.

01:42Let us not be remembered as those who stood by.

01:46Let us be guided by our conscience

01:48to answer suffering with compassion

01:52and to pursue peace for the sake of our humanity.
