00:00The Dodgers beat the Twins 5-2.
00:02As we know, Otani pitched last night, and boy, did he pitch, and did he hit.
00:08Three innings on the mound, only gave up four hits, one run.
00:11It was a leadoff homer to Buxton.
00:12Three strikeouts, he threw 46 pitches.
00:15And after he gave up that homer in the top of the first, he decided,
00:19eh, I'll just get that back and then some in the bottom of the first on Sportsnet LA.
00:23And like it was his phone booth.
00:25Superman hitting the ball out of the end of center field.
00:30The starting pitcher hits a monster homerun.
00:37He is out of this world.
00:41Shohei Otani, one of a kind, all time, 35 for the year.
00:49Did you hear that back?
00:51That was crunched.
00:54I mean, that was, you know, I know they sound good sometimes when we play some of these homers,
00:59but that one was.
01:01That one just tops.
01:01And that was dead center into that black out there at Dodger Stadium.
01:06Like, just right over the wall.
01:08He destroyed that pitch.
01:10They had a bunch of homers last night.
01:12We said yesterday that Uncle Festa, he was going to be in trouble.
01:15Will Smith had two homers.
01:17Pa has homered as well.
01:18Yeah.
01:18As the Dodgers get off the deck against Minnesota.
01:22I just saw that homerun to the black tarp.
01:25Yeah.
01:26I saw a story today.
01:28I forget who it was, Heyman or maybe Bob.
01:30I don't know who it was.
01:31That the twins, I guess, are getting close to waving the white flag.
01:36And that the biggest trade chip they might have, Sky, they might trade that Joe Ryan.
01:40Now that's an arm that teams should be looking for with the way that he's pitched this year.
01:46He's been unbelievable.
01:48I mean, you got to be half stupid to trade him.
01:52Well, it sounds like they are.
01:54Well, there's no reason then to go to Target Field to pay money to see a baseball team with no talent on it.
02:03Let's just face facts.
02:05I guess Buxton and Correa, people are over Correa, aren't they?
02:10That team doesn't matter.
02:12Joe Ryan matters.
02:14He's worth paying to see, you know, once a week.
02:18This guy is their best player on the team, hands down.
02:21No questions asked.
02:23He's incredible.
02:24I wouldn't trade him.
02:25That's as dumb as trading skeins.
02:28Honestly, you know, Joe Ryan's.
02:31Let's just face facts.
02:33He's top five now in baseball pitching.
02:35And you know what the really silly thing is?
02:39Like, I know we do a lot of these teams at the trade deadline and it's like, well, the guy's going to be a free agent and they don't want to lose him for nothing.
02:46And Minnesota would never resign him.
02:48He's got two more years.
02:50He's not a UFA.
02:51He's not a UFA until 28.
02:53Like, it's not like he's a UFA at the end of the year.
02:55Like, they've got some arbitration years left with him.
02:58But, you know, they're not smart.
03:02He's only making three million bucks this year.
