00:00Good afternoon. My name is Commander Phil Harper. I'm the Commanding Officer of HM Stirling Castle.
00:11So Stirling Castle is a bit of a departure for the Royal Navy. She's designed to operate autonomous
00:16and remote vehicles from the deck. What's this mean? This means we don't have to put the mine
00:22hunter into the minefield anymore. We can keep the people outside of the minefield while hunting
00:27mines. The RFA have operated this ship for two and a half years. She was commercial before that
00:33and the Royal Navy have taken over today to allow the RFA to concentrate on
00:37their more core business of tanking. So for us it's a huge privilege today to take it over from
00:42a brilliant RFA team and I couldn't be more happy to receive a ship in excellent condition
00:46from a great bunch of people.
00:57We'll see you in the next video.
