02:52I grew up in a really broken family, and I was an only child, which was isolating.

02:56And I remember starting to watch Hallmark movies in junior high.

19:28from the second we walked on the ship the Christmas spirit has been palpable right it's all around you

19:33I saw a study actually that people who have all their decorations up by November 1st are actually

19:53this is the first time we're watching a Christmas tree light together with a countdown and we've been

20:07together nine years takes my breath away that was insane I I don't even know I can't believe it works

20:32here like together you're healthy right I mean like I'm healthy it's been a long year for you

20:39I've had two major surgeries so now I am cancer free to reconstruction later I have two half sisters

20:49they both tested positive for a gene called the ATM gene mutation and they both battled cancer and have

20:56both since passed away from cancer I immediately went and got tested and it turns out I also had the

21:02gene and um probably the best thing for me to do would be to do this preventative double mastectomy

21:07and um I'm back and I'm ready to have fun I'm just so excited to spend the next couple days with you

21:14guys you don't get to do this a lot in life and I'm so grateful like seriously thank you to you for

21:21making it happen thank you for you carving out the time to actually get here and be totally present

21:28I know that my mom values the family being in Texas but on this cruise I need to build up the courage to

21:34deliver some news to her that might be a little upsetting and so I'm just nervous to cause any

21:38ripples or waves especially when we're having this wonderful time together it means so much to just get to

21:44enjoy it Vermeer girls take on hallmark Christmas

21:48two champagnes please yes I think it'd be difficult to overstate how excited we are for this trip I mean

22:06I am a stay-at-home mom of three incredible children but I'm also a writer and Victoria is a

22:16theatrical director and mother to my beautiful nephew Robin so I thought this would be a perfect

22:23opportunity for us to get uninterrupted sister time and to to put ourselves first for a little while

22:30and you know to get to sleep just sleep really so before we get too much more into this I have a

22:38little special present for you okay you're gonna open it now but you can't use it until next Christmas

22:44okay okay this is such a cute little box I love it it was in a hallmark movie so I had to get it what is it

22:51okay I signed this up for a karaoke no Gail needs to come out of her comfort zone

23:00I don't know but with the amount of morning sickness I've done it I'm so happy for you

23:24Robin's gonna have a brother or a sister I don't know but with the amount of morning sickness I've

23:30had I am sure it's gotta be a girl I'm so relieved that she finally knows it's been so hard to keep

23:39this secret from Laura it'll be so good this is the best present ever okay but wait I have to show

23:45me this photo I took being an auntie to Victoria's little fella is one of my favorite things in the

23:57whole world and so to know that I will have double the auntie joy double the kids to shop for for

24:45this is our first Christmas tree lighting yes ever talking about how great and how wonderful

24:49everybody was and got you guys are like yes you're just so welcoming to everybody it's amazing it just

24:55shows how great you all are it really does thank you for saying that well we couldn't be here

24:59without each one of you so thank you thank you can't believe I'm talking to Erin Cahill I'm here

25:06with a star that I love that I watch in all these movies and she's talking to me like she knows me for

25:13years asking about us all right thank you thank you very much I'm just so excited to finally be here

25:19and we've been through so much and it's been a long road for me and Rob wow and there's mrs. Christmas

25:26you look amazing thank you so do you are you ready for this I'm ready let's get the party started

25:31so Donna got diagnosed with Chiari malformation it's a condition where part of the brain that

25:36controls your balance extends into your spinal canal she had to go through brain surgery it's

25:41not a not a cure but it it helped me and it was leaning on my brain stem and it could have been

25:47bad surgeon had a spot in October she's nope not till after my Christmas party so she suffered with

25:57severe headaches for another two months new Christmas season let's do it just so she could have her

26:01Christmas party it was a wonderful thing to do I got to be with all my friends and my family two

26:12days before my surgery it was the best decision I made I think it was really good I've had I've had

26:21headaches but I mean I'm feeling a lot better I feel good you're all here so positive about

26:26everything you have to be something like this really makes you realize that all that stuff

26:32that we get upset about we shouldn't so you got to enjoy the happy moments you got to enjoy your

26:37children your family your friends your pets you just don't know what tomorrow brings and I'm gonna

26:42enjoy this cruise it's a wish come true I'd like that tree in our front yard but that's a little

26:48that's pushing it a little we have a lot of trees but not less it's nothing like that so the

26:54healthcare Donna went through it made me more committed than knowing I want to be with her

26:58and spend the rest of my life with her that's why I'm gonna propose to her and hopefully we will get

27:03married on the last day of the cruise I just need to find the right moment I can't wait for day two

27:10so it's the merry exchange and it is a lovely time to share Christmas spirit we all brought little

27:25things that we wanted to share with other people we bought candy can glow sticks and koozies

27:32all right tons of goodies there were lots of fun straws that were hit some jingle bell bracelets

27:38necklaces and a bunch of hallmark stickers this is the coolest thing we got it's a snow globe homemade snow

27:46snow globe the night is still young hallmark cruisers so please join us for karaoke in the atrium trivia in the
