00:00Every item has its own story and its own explanation, so the whole idea of
00:04designing something and then inspire people through history and art and
00:09culture. It's kind of merging the wedding beauty and heritage. That was the whole
00:14concept.
00:20At my late 20s, I started asking myself questions. Who I am? Where do I belong to?
00:26And I started researching about my culture, my ancestors. I wanted to find
00:32answers through culture, through history, through researching about ancestors. And I
00:38came with this idea of doing something, of promoting my culture through other
00:44medium. And at the beginning, it was more designing dresses and promoting culture
00:51through some garments. And then I thought jewelry would be a much better medium
00:56since it's something that lasts longer. And it's something that you can pass from
01:03generation to generation. So this is how the idea of RASM started.
01:08Azerbaijani ornaments and patterns, they are such a rich mix of culture that I think
01:17it's seen and felt through every ornaments that we have.
01:24I think the beauty of it is that I never thought how to do it. I was just doing what I was, what
01:29I was doing. And I was very passionate about it. Because when people ask me, you're not afraid,
01:36you know, to start business, or how did you have this courage. I never had a courage. It was just a passion. And I was 100% sure that this passion will be, has a ground under and it will be that the project will be successful.
01:54The power of flower is a woman who understands her roots. And she's rooted. She knows her, who she is. And from that place, she can develop further and understand how she develops her, her both energies.
02:15I think the true inspiration comes from understanding yourself. My main inspiration came from my kids at the very beginning. Because part of this inspiration was to I wanted to do more for my kids in a way. And I was, as I think about it, from different perspective, people inspire me a lot.
02:43Sometimes you go to very great places and you don't get inspiration. And that's also fine. Sometimes you meet just people, ordinary people, and you get inspired.
