00:12It's just a dispute in his mind that I guess if he did something that really deserved punishment,
00:26that he would want the whole contract guaranteed.
00:33And we would want to say, well, it isn't guaranteed if you did something to that level.
00:39In that case, we would step in and take away the guarantee.
00:46It doesn't mean that we couldn't agree to pay it, but we wouldn't be forced to pay it.
00:53I don't want to pay somebody who hypothetically could be in jail for four years at this level of pay.
01:04And do I think any of that's going to happen? No.
01:09And that's why I use the word foolishness.
01:12It's in my mind at that level.
01:15We want to get it done. We want to get him in here and working.
01:18He needs a good young guy, and he's someone we think will be important to our team this year.
01:26You know, I hope Shamar comes in. He needs to be here.
01:30You know, the number one thing that a rookie needs is a fast start and a good, productive rookie season.
01:36And that normally translates into a long, productive NFL career.
01:40And so I would encourage him to be here and start building the bond with his teammates and getting his career started because he can be a factor for a championship caliber football team.
01:54And you don't always get that opportunity.
01:56And so I'd like to see him, and I hope he gets here soon.
01:59You know, I don't blame Shamar.
02:01He's listening to the advice that he's paying for.
02:04I don't understand the advice.
02:06I don't agree with it.
02:08I'm not the one paying for it.
02:09If I thought we were treating him unfairly, it would be a different story.
02:14But we're treating him fairly with all the rest of the draft picks in this year's draft.
