00:00Let's hear it from you guys first and foremost in the context of the explanation
00:04and getting ready for a new NFL campaign. So we unveil our top 10 quarterback list
00:12on this Monday. And Donnie Wright's side, please begin.
00:17It's pretty sad. And again, these are our lists here. And we're not going to go crazy and say,
00:22hey, man, JJ McCarthy's in the fourth spot because he was really good at handing off at
00:25Michigan. Like we're not going to do that. But some players will be the same spots.
00:29Some players, people like, oh, you have them up a little bit higher, but there's no true word.
00:32There's no exact slot on which way these quarterbacks will go. So for me, just to start
00:36in the top five, it's simple. Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL. I don't care what
00:41anybody else is doing. If there was a draft today that had, okay, pick your quarterback first,
00:45Patrick Mahomes will be on the top of everybody's list. If not, you're a buffoon and you probably
00:48run the Cincinnati Bengals and or the Cleveland Browns. But as I said that number two, Josh Allen,
00:53number three, Lamar Jackson, number four, Joe Burrow, number five, Jalen Hurts. Now Jalen Hurts
00:58might be that, you know, magnifying spot at number five that, ooh, you could put so many
01:02guys in the air. But that's my list on what I anticipate from a quarterback, what he's done
01:06in the previous season or two, and what I expect him to do in the next season or two. That's my
01:11criteria. It's like, all right, what are you getting now? What did you just get in the rear
01:15view mirror? And what's just in front of you? I'm not projecting by saying, hey, this guy's got 15
01:20years left in the NFL. He's going to be a better quarterback at this point. I'm not saying that,
01:23oh, well, Lamar Jackson, the best of them is in the past. Like, no, Lamar was really
01:27good two years ago. Lamar's going to be really good in two years. And Lamar is really good right
01:31now. That's why I have him listed there at number three over Joe Burrow. Well, Joe Burrow got to a
01:35Super Bowl. He's more of a standup pocket passer. Do you watch Lamar Jackson on a week-to-week
01:39basis? How dynamic he is? He absolutely deserves to be in that top five. But when I look and say,
01:45put into the computer, give me a quarterback, a prototype that I want. Isn't Josh Allen everybody's
01:51prototype? He just doesn't get in there because Patrick Mahomes is all world and has multiple
01:55Super Bowls MVPs. You guessed it. Like, he is the best. But otherwise, that 1A is Josh Allen. He can
02:01throw it. He can run it. He can lead a team. Now, does he have the Super Bowls? Does he have the
02:05championships? No, he doesn't. But when I want a quarterback, it's hard to pass up what Josh Allen
02:10actually gives you. That's my top five right there.
