00:06Matt Cardona of Long Island, New York.

00:09This match is right now here at Slammiversary.

00:24Trust the System.

00:30The following is an eight-man tag team match scheduled for one fall.

00:37Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Alicia Edwards.

00:42Representing the Systems, the team of JCC's Eddie Edwards and

00:51Bryan Myers.

00:55We saw it this past Tuesday night on NXT.

00:58Myers, Edwards, and JDC went to NXT term and brought the fight to Dark State amidst that

01:06six-man tag team matchup where the Dark State was facing Trick Williams, Joe Hendry, and Mike

01:11Santana that night, and then Matt Cardona this past Thursday night on Impact.

01:16Called out the System.

01:18Called out Dark State, and ultimately, Cardona about to stand side by side with the System.

01:24And their tag team partner, from Long Island, New York, weighing in at 230 pounds, the complete Matt Cardona.

01:36Well, Tom, we've come a long way from Long Island Ice-C.

01:44Matt Cardona walks into Slammiversary, today, 17 years removed to the day,

01:52from the first time he ever won tag team gold with one of his partners in this matchup.

01:58his longtime friend and fellow New Yorker, Brian Myers.

02:15Can they repeat that success tonight?

02:30And their opponents, Dark State!

02:37Butler James, Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, and Saquon Sugars have brought their brand of

02:43violence to TNA, and we're seeing it a plenty on NXT as well.

02:49Absolute chaos and destruction in the wake, everywhere these wrestlers go.

02:57Oh, Dark State trying to surround the ring, and going after the System, and Matt Cardona,

03:03and the fight is on!

03:04I don't believe I heard a bell ring to start the match, however.

03:07No, the match may not have technically started, but the fight definitely has.

03:13Oh, and there's Myers, one of Long Island's own, off of the top rope.

04:05I mean, absolute chaos, like a pack of rabid dogs running around here,

04:09fighting anything that moves.

04:13As that's Saquon Sugar sending Myers into the ring.

04:16There's the bell.

04:17This match is officially underway.

04:19And the system and Myers, excuse me,

04:23the system and Cardona had the early advantage.

04:25Can they take it back?

04:27That's a good start from Myers.

04:29Flatliner there by Brian Myers.

04:32Now Myers lining up here.

04:38Sugars signaling the rest of Darkstate and the involvement of Osiris.

04:51And just manhandling Brian Myers.

05:06At this point, just like that, in a matter of seconds, it's nearly helpless.

05:18Our referee Daniel Spencer, trying to gain control of the entirety of this eight-man tag team match.

05:37Well, Darkstate has bucked that system.

05:40And now ironically going up against TNA's dynasty, the system, and Matt Cardona.

05:48I hope Darkstate, look, as chaotic as they are, to your point.

05:53The Performance Center looks for those finely tuned athletes, and they found him in these

05:59absolute maniacs, no doubt about it, but the system.

06:05That was Cutler James on the outside, who took away JDC as a tag option.

06:09And now Saquon Sugar's going to work on Brian Myers and got a piece of JDC.

06:15I was about to say the system was some of the most refined wrestlers on the planet, experienced.

06:22But the sheer force of Darkstate giving him all of their worth.

06:25Cover, shoulders down, and a kick out by Myers.

06:28Just when it looked like Myers may have had a way out, an escape route.

06:37Darkstate shuts it all down.

06:44Cutler James slowing the pace down here against Brian Myers, and what a statement this would

06:50be by Darkstate, whether they say it on behalf of NXT or not, to try and defeat TNA's dynasty,

06:57one of the biggest events in the history of TNA Rescue.

07:02If you do a scenario like that, do we actually have you pulling for the system, Tom?

07:06For the first time ever, perhaps.

07:10Oh, now Cutler James once again going after the system, getting in the face of Matt Cardona.

07:15Right now Cutler James is picking apart Matt Cardona's longtime friend and a spear by Myers.

07:23And that may be the opening that Myers needs.

07:30And there, his longtime friend and tag partner, Cardona ready, ready for that tag.

07:35And a tag made, it's Saquon Shuggers to meet Matt Cardona.

07:42And the complete Matt Cardona has been dying for this fight.

07:46Oh!

07:47Double knees!

07:48That's down the road from where he grew up.

07:51Can Cardona bring home the win for TNA?

07:54Let's think about the reboot of Cyrus Griffin, the big man, eats the code breaker.

08:07JDC and Edwards taking Griffin out of the equation.

08:14And there's the reboot by Broski.

08:24Hooked in the leg to pull away Darkstead and a kick out by Shuggers.

08:30Right now, Cardona has the momentum in his favor.

08:33He's gotta keep his foot on the gas pedal to the metal here.

08:43And a pump kick there by Cutler James.

08:47And was that the moment Cardona had it?
