They are at the heart of uniformed policing and as the name suggests, they are often the first ones to respond to whatever incident or emergency has been called in by a member of the public.
00:00Hello, my name is PC178 Joel Palmer Morrison. I'm a response officer here at College Road in
00:23Doncaster, currently doing a 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. shift and I'm here to show you a bit about response placing in Doncaster.
00:53So we've just been called to an emergency, a blue light emergency, where there was reports of a female being significantly injured.
01:09Once we got to the scene, what we did was make sure that the female was okay with ambulance.
01:15We've gone inside the address, searched the house, see if there's any suspects, any weapons. What we found is one of the bedrooms were quite badly destroyed.
01:26We've then put a scene on, manned that scene to keep best evidence. CSI was then called and CID will be taken over the investigation.
01:45.
01:52.
01:56.
02:06As first responders we are normally first on scene, we don't know really what we're
02:23going to go into, we just get past some information and from there we need to be prepared to whatever
02:28we're faced up against.
02:30We have to risk assess everything and follow what's called the NDM, the National Decision
02:34Model, we can make sure that we follow it, following Code of Ethics as well.
02:40We go to a wide range of different jobs that can include shopliftings, it can include public
02:47order, it can include domestic issues, it could be even breach of the peace, refusing
02:54to leave, a wide range of stuff and as a response officer it's always vital to secure that key
03:00evidence and make those enquiries which could be CCTV, it could be house to house enquiries,
03:06ascertaining any witnesses, victims and suspects and then if the suspect is present or there
03:14is a risk, a high risk, then that suspect needs to be arrested and we are there to arrest that
03:19person as soon as possible and to process them through the system.
03:23So as a response officer it does come with its challenges, we do put up with some traumatic
03:30situations, you know we go to them as well but we do have to put up with violence and
03:34abuse but ultimately we have to be ready no matter what shifts we do.
03:39Our goal is to preserve life, fight crime and protect the general public from anything.
03:50feelings for it.
03:54I really don't have to ask you to do this for one thing.
03:55Unless you need to pray I think That was tricky.
03:56I really don't have to ask for one thing.
03:57I really don't trust you.
03:58We have to ask you questions.
03:59I really don't trust you.
04:00There is характер backing those things as well.
04:01You may not trust you everyday.
04:03There is anressive challenge fee.
04:04It's an integral proof that you who do this over here in time are triggered by sharing
04:06andba with some pixels with lots of crochets.
04:08It's a danger in looking for you.
04:08What will happen when I can share that every single day and the главное
04:10is to be human-truck components.
04:11I think I know that it is the last PowerPoint that has come with you.
