00:00Today we're sending fruit blocks to space, but first we gotta figure out how.

00:11Slingshot seems like an appropriate place to start. Now boys, I don't think this is

00:19gonna make it to space, but it will give us a good idea of how much work we're

00:24gonna have to do. We're not just going for distance, we're going for height.

00:27Three, two, one. Oh! That was pretty good. Dude, that went way further than I thought. What is it?

00:3880 feet! Hey! 80 feet? 80 feet! Dude, wow, that's pretty good. That's a strong start right there.

00:44But we gotta go to over 100,000 feet, so we're gonna need a bigger slingshot. Now we got a bigger

00:50slingshot. This should do it. Here we have our hamster ball with our fruit blocks inside, and

00:54then we have a camera on the front, so you guys can see the ball when it flies.

00:57All right, ready? Gabe, give us a countdown. Yeah, I got you. All right. I'm gonna go. I'm go. Yeah.

01:04All right. What are we gonna try next, boys? Throughout this process, we're gonna have some

01:12failures, some ups and downs. This video's gonna be like a roller coaster, and you guys are just here to ride it.

02:08basketball so i think uh let's just test it with a rock we'll do a little rock little rock this is

02:25fruit snacks sour to be exact and three two one oh i don't know how far that went but that's like

02:35uh how long are you gonna clap i don't know 50 feet only problem is uh we need it to go up

02:43a rocket on a rainy day of course this will work my idea rocket lights takes off takes the fruit

02:50blocks with it just keeps going to the moon put one of the biggest engines we can on here all right

02:55here we go lighting he's gonna do the thing he's trying to light it but it's wet wet please light

03:15good though dude they're gonna be covered in sand we went a total of 12 feet 12 feet boys space is

03:25approximately 120 000 feet away we need a rocket 10 000 times the size not exactly 10 000 times the

03:33size but one small step for man is one big leap for mankind lighting

03:44if something goes wrong it's pointed our direction flashed off now let it cook

03:50no it's not going what happened it was lit it's not lit it literally looked at me and it screamed

04:19we practiced for this zero feet nothing i told y'all we are not going to space with a rocket i don't

04:28think you can make it to space with a rocket no one's ever done it before instead of trying

04:32to make it fly let's just make a big explosion we need something high velocity high speed extreme

04:39strength extreme heat but also has to fight the cold of space but at the same time has to have a

04:44parachute so it can safely land and on top of that we need a camera so we can record it and show the

04:49world that we actually did it and then we need the fruit blocks and we need to make sure it doesn't

04:52freeze so when it comes back down to earth we can actually eat it i got it now we have a tank

04:58it has tank tracks and it even has a barrel that shoots made of metal too it's a tank now we're

05:05going to see how far it could take fruit blocks oh oh there she goes oh it actually went look at the

05:17fruit blocks they didn't even leave they just stayed here but they were taped on the rocket bullet thing

05:25so 2000 psi cannon hit the button game hold on hold on we have packed all of these little tiny

05:34sour fruit blocks on the inside you want this should create an epic effect this one all right in three

05:41three two one oh my gosh

05:52that was crazy that went way further than i thought all right toy story had huge success with flying so

06:00therefore we shall as well two rockets we got the altitude meter we got the fruit blocks on the wing

06:06nice aerodynamics got the antenna just in case we lose it and we got a big red ramp it's not going

06:11to go to space but it is going to give us some really good data and understand what to improve

06:16all right james are over here when you're ready oh he lit it he lit it he lit it oh this is going to be

06:21oh it's going to happen this is going to be bad it's going to happen i'm scared please fly please fly

06:29why it didn't even go up the ramp no more rockets it didn't even go up the ramp maybe we should have

06:35went to engineering instead of clown school i didn't think it was going to go that high but

06:40the fact it didn't even go up the ramp we need to talk to an expert we need to talk to someone that's

06:44been to space before i got it do you know the guy book the flights we're going to california we've tried

06:52everything i don't know what to do so we have come to an expert someone that knows space better than us

07:09shark tank or something we are here to pick mark's brain and we're trying to send fruit blocks oh i see

07:16yes yes yes i've never tried it yet and here's the thing though so if the information i give you

07:20means that this goes to space and it's not worthy of space i would have a moral dilemma so i need to try

07:25all right can we huddle real quick yeah what if he doesn't like it if he doesn't like it we're

07:29screwed they're good what does this mean you gotta be confident we're talking to an engineer scientist

07:33right now good okay perfect smart all right um yeah we're ready so this is fruit blocks sours

07:38these are brand new oh really i like the consistency this looks like it's about one cubic centimeter okay here

07:44we go gentlemen i've come to a verdict i cannot in good conscience allow these to just stay on planet

08:01earth they've got to go to space let's go they've got to go to space out of this world i want more

08:08i want the green and the red do they actually have different flavors yeah

08:10yeah okay so we're going to space we're going to space now the question is how so in the past we

08:15tried a weather balloon with our apple juice it went pretty high so was it 65 to see the curvature

08:21of earth around like 50 you probably saw a little bit we saw a slight curvature of the earth but we

08:26want to go higher how do we how do we get there uh well so you've tried rockets

08:33yeah surely the the most inexpensive easiest way for you get to space is a weather balloon what are you

08:38going to actually put up on it in the bag or just like open we're thinking a bag maybe a box so one

08:43thing you got to be careful of there's some air in here so this will expand especially in the vacuum

08:47space it's going to get really big so maybe it'll explode it might but the way you test that is you

08:51just put it in a vacuum chamber you can get like dust like small ones that it just pumps the air out

08:56and then see how big it will get oh it's getting really plump it might pop

09:00so one of the other questions space is also very cold this is true yeah how cold is it up where

09:08you'll be like probably minus 80 degrees fahrenheit maybe okay yeah do you think that's cold enough

09:13to freeze this every question you guys ask the beauty is there's such a simple way to test this

09:19now a normal freezer you won't be able to test this with but if you get some dry ice dry ice sure like

09:23surround it we got the fruit blocks in the chamber time to get cold and then you could put a like a

09:30little thermometer probe in there to the point where it's gonna be really really really hard to chew

09:34i don't know that'd be like solid like an ice cube it's so cold that this fruit blocks if i hit it with

09:39a hammer it's completely frozen solid and it cracks like ice i'll freeze them can't even squeeze them

09:48they're frozen fruit blocks can survive the cold but i can't i mean i think the lesson that we learned

09:55here is does fruit blocks still survive in space and i think the answer is yes until it hits the ground

10:02what do you think is the biggest obstacle or challenge when trying to send something to space

10:07you're gonna have to film this with cameras they need to have gps you need to be able to pop the thing

10:11when it gets up there you need to be able to track it when it comes down you need to know how high it's

10:15gonna go you know approximately how much helium there isn't one thing the problem is just like

10:19a thousand things and there's literally 999 ways to fail and only one way to get it right i think we

10:27have our answers in that case i feel like the real answer was in your heart all along i'm gonna cry

10:40you on mars see in space i'm in the moon yes what is this do you know what that is it's uh bed sheets

10:51this is no bed sheet this is a weather balloon believe it or not this was 500

10:57no weather balloons can approximately travel up to 120 000 feet we're gonna test it see how big it'll get

11:56through a cloud nice soft cloud oh my gosh soft marks oh i'm throwing these a little harder all

12:03right we're oh yeah that balloon is jiggling oh man that balloon is really it fights back jiggling it

12:08fights back oh it's right back i know you back all right you want some of this

12:18oh maybe it might survive let's uh take it up a notch when there's hail there's lightning yeah it's

12:24definitely gonna pop on this one oh no i mean it's meant for dude it's a weather balloon it's meant

12:34to go up there wow okay we gotta take it up a notch again now what if a bird flies into the weather

12:40balloon boys grab a bird okay i'll take this one these things are kind of sharp i'm not gonna lie

12:45they're beaks yeah the beak are solid dude if a beak touches the balloon it might be game over

12:54i'm scared i think it's bird proof but is it meteorite proof what

13:02if it's rocks

13:06oh wait wait wait wait wait somebody film that that's a hole there's a that's a hole jordy wait wait wait wait

13:18that's a hole this is defying physics in every sense possible what what dude you threw a rock

13:27at it and it made a perfect hole wait wait wait you can get inside of it oh get inside get inside how

13:33am i gonna get no i'm gonna rip it no wait let me see if i can make another rock ready

13:38oh i made it oh oh my gosh all right not rock truth but why are rocks in the sky are you okay

13:54it's time to go to space and now we're going to be using a tank to send fruit block sours into space

14:00my idea is simple we'll just put it in the barrel aim it all the way up and just i'm just kidding we

14:05got something way cooler helium you see we went out and we hired some professionals because we

14:10have no idea what we're doing last time we sent something to space it only made it to 30 000 feet

14:13but this time we're trying to get how high will this go 120 000 feet so we're going to the stratosphere

14:19we're becoming astronauts yeah no we're not becoming astronauts fruit blocks is becoming astronauts and

14:25by the way check out these boxes this is my first time seeing these we got 22 pouches

14:29the question is who's going to be the first one to eat it when it comes down from space we'll see

14:35who gets there first yeah the balloon will goes up three times higher than airplane supply and uh

14:40we will have a brilliant look so everything's gonna work smoothly hopefully hopefully we have gps

14:47trackers to follow the balloon okay and to see where it's going and it can happen that it's landing

14:52high in the tree and then you need to climb okay okay if you want to eat them first

14:57while the balloon is inflating we got to attach fruit blocks to our space station is that what we

15:03can call this thing so we basically put one fruit blocks there one fruit blocks here super glue are

15:11these uh proper space conditions i think there's a thunderstorm coming in over there it's not ideal

15:18i hunt tornadoes i know what this is this is coming at us right now so we got to get this thing up in

15:23the air i feel like i'm gonna fly away before the fruit blocks just keep holding it dude you got a

15:28really important mission right now all right look at that storm coming in if we don't get this balloon

15:41up in the next 45 minutes i don't think we're going to space the storm is 100 capable of producing a tornado

15:48i just want to say if fruit blocks actually makes it to space you guys have to give it a try make

15:54that a promise with me right now all right we're launching in so many different stores we've spent

15:58over a year developing what we think is the best sour fruit snacks if we get into the stratosphere and

16:04see that curvature of the earth you guys have to give fruit block sours a try make me a promise

16:09right now it's very expensive to send something to space james hold the balloon i'm trying my biggest

16:14concerns right now are the weather and james popping this balloon my shoulders are on fire

16:26it's coming bro it's coming bro we gotta get this balloon up now is it raining oh it is raining i can

16:33feel it here it is i'm about to let go on their countdown oh there it is watch that balloon rain or

16:43shine tornado or not this thing going in the cloud oh let's let's let's be on each side so we can

16:50catch it just in case oh my gosh um yeah so right now we have a small cloud above us producing some

17:01rain i mean look this thing is called a weather balloon so therefore it should be able to go through

17:07weather right bro we've picking up the helium tank is it really low key oh yeah that thing has a lot of

17:14pull to it oh oh my gosh oh this thing wants to go to space let it loose all right we're almost ready

17:23almost ready almost ready we're gonna beat this big thunderstorm that's coming out you can beat the

17:27hero lifting it off so you can hold it like this we need to run to that direction okay when do i let go

17:33whenever it has tension run they're running oh it's moving oh oh my gosh it went so i didn't

17:46expect it to go that fast it's gone it's gone oh my gosh let's go dude i didn't expect that thing to

17:55take off like that it's like a rocket there it goes all right so that thing's gonna take about

18:06three hours to get all the way up there and come down so uh we got some time to kill question how

18:14do we know when it pops we don't have the exact height at the moment but we can see from the position

18:20where it is that it should have so basically what they're saying is we have no idea yeah so basically

18:26we have a gps tracker on there every five minutes it updates sort of getting pinged its location

18:31and eventually what comes up must come down now we just gotta wait for the balloon to come back down

18:39we're hitting the road it just landed let's go see if we can find it so it's

18:44okay surrounded by trees could hit a tree but yeah we will see but there's also fields all right

18:49so keep your fingers crossed all right let's see it's just dangling in a tree i gotta crawl up and

18:54get it it's all part of the adventure it should be off of the side of a road in what we're hoping

19:00looks like a grass field how high up do we think boys i'm gonna say 105 000 i'm gonna say 130 i'm gonna go

19:10high i'm gonna go in the middle i'm gonna say 110. all right so who's climbing the tree if it's in a tree

19:22what's the good news yeah we found it we know where it is see that red oh it's all the way up in the

19:28tree what did they say about climbing we were literally just talking about it too yo that thing's

19:35like 50 foot in the tree that's the good and the bad news we know where it is but the last 30 meters

19:41are the worst it's right there yeah no look it's it's 20 feet above us oh this is rough dude i think

19:49you could definitely climb that tree gabe if you can get up to that point i think you can put your

19:53back against the tree and just like shimmy your way up you know there's nothing for me to grab onto

19:57to pull up my other leg to the spot i need to get it to if the guy across the street answers us

20:03he probably has a really tall ladder that we can climb up three hours later we got a ladder

20:12oh that's nice that's nice

20:17oh there it is oh i don't think this ladder big enough for the two of us

20:24i got it fruit block sours has made it to space ladies and gentlemen but the best part of this
