03:13We started franchising po ng 2023.
03:17So, kahit pa paano, naka-two years na po kami.
03:19But we are not really promoting the franchise.
03:23The reason why is, gusto po namin kahit pa paano ay magiging ready.
03:30Pero lagi ko nga sinasabi, motto ko, when you are ready, you are late.
03:34Pero dahil nga, dito kasi sa franchising, pagkakasinagmadali tayo, nakakatakot din.
03:40Mas maganda pa rin talaga, pinaghahandaan.
03:42Tsaka siguro po, more on focus kami sa pag-develop ng mga products.
03:45So, parang, we're letting the products do the talk.

05:47So, proud po ako dyan kasi once na natry nyo yan, lagi mong maiisip na yan yun na yung standard mo pagdating sa caramel macchiato.
05:56Wow, talagang.
05:57Paano kayo nag-develop nito?
05:59You know, you're so, are you really passionate about coffee from the start?
06:04Talagang ganun ba kayo talaga nagsimula?
06:07Yes, sir.
06:08Actually, nung before na hindi pa kami nag-business, coffee drinker na talaga kami.
06:13Then, nung nagkaroon na kami ng coffee shop, dun kami nag-training talaga from the scratch.
06:19Like, nag-barista training kami, nag-check kami kung paano mag-rose, kung paano rin mag-dikim ng coffee, and kung paano gumawa ng recipe ng coffee.
06:28So, very deep yung knowledge na inaral namin about coffee.
06:35Yeah, pero nung nag-aral kami, dun pa po namin na-realize na hindi lang pala kape yun yung iniinom namin.
06:41That's why may mga pricey na coffee.
06:44Kasi, nandun eh, yung proseso, kung malalaman mo yung process from farm to cup, grabe, ang daming pinagdaanan ng kape.
06:51And then, kapag nalaman mo kung paano magkakaroon ng high-quality coffee, sabihin mo sa barista mo, thank you for the coffee.
07:00Yeah.
07:00So, talagang, it's really a science, not just an art of making coffee, di ba?
07:07In other words, alam ko kasi, pag umiinom mo ko ng kape, isang kape, 45 beans daw yan eh, no?
07:13And na-expose ako doon sa mga kumukuha ng coffee cherry, yun, by hand pala yan, no?
07:19By hand, hindi lang yung uugain mo, no? Kasi, dapat di masira yung mga, ano, yung red, no? Yung ripe, no?
07:28So, yung mga coffee pala, hindi talaga nasa flat ground. Yung pala yung mga nasa pangin, ha?
07:34Yes, tama ko.
07:36There's really some conscious effort, no? Na talagang all these coffee pickers are risking their life for you to have coffee, para bang, huwag mo itapon yung kape.
07:46Doon sa process po ng learnings namin, napad na po kami sa Vietnam, and then, the Vietnamese told us na napaka-hirap talaga ng ginagawa nila.
07:59Pero dahil passion din nila, actually, Sir Butch, nung nandun kami, yung farmer doon, napakagaling gumawa ng V60, kung paano mag-brew ng kape.
08:08Manual brewing.
08:09Manual brewing. So, napaka-lalim din yung knowledge nila.
08:12Sabi ko dati, nung nag-start kami, pag, syempre, po-connect tayo sa mga farmer.
08:18Pero doon sa farmer pala na yun, high-level knowledge po pala yung meron sila.
08:22So, grabe, hanggang ngayon, natututo pa rin po kami. Hanggang ngayon, nag-aaral pa rin po kami.
08:26Kumbaga, parang sa five years, or six years, turning six years na po kaming nag-brew business ng coffee.
08:32So, akala namin na alam na namin lahat about coffee.
08:35Pero nung nagpunta kami sa Vietnam, ang dami pa namin pwedeng maaral about coffee.
08:40Andun na yung coffee roasting, coffee farming, talaga.
08:45So, yun.
08:46So, talagang, ako eh, ang Vietnam kasi, ang daming coffee shops, no?
08:51At saka, they have, what, a variety of coffee beans, diba?
08:55So, maganda yung exposure nyo, no?
08:57Kasi, hindi lang yung, alam ko magtimpla ng kape.
09:01Kasi, na-expose ako sa, probably, YouTube.

09:06Pero, you went further down, deeper and deeper.
09:09Kasi, seryoso kayo talaga sa, you know, seryoso kayo sa negosyo.

09:17And then, dun sa pag-aaral pa namin, Serbos, na-realize namin na, in the Philippines pala, kailangan din talaga ng tulong ng mga locals na nagpo-produce ng coffee.
09:29I think, kapag mas malalim kasi yung reason bakit ka nagkakaroon ng, for example, nung kape, mas lalo mo siyang gagawin eh.
09:39Kasi, sa Vietnam, nung bago pa daw po sila maging top 2 producer ng coffee, ay talagang mahirap na mahirap daw yung bansa nila.
09:48Pero, nung na-aral nila na ito yung pwedeng mangyari kapag ginalingan nila dun sa pag-produce ng coffee.
09:54So, natulungan ng coffee yung kanilang, tawag dito, agriculture.

10:21You also live with the community and try to uplift.

10:28Hindi, you're not an island by yourself but you're trying to promote.
10:31So, again, Philippine Coffee, malakas ang association yan and they really try to promote.
10:40So, very important ito.
10:42But you are now franchising, right?
10:46Ilan ang naging franchise nyo so far from the last year?
10:50What? When we were talking last year, we were only talking about five.
10:54And how many brand ang company nyo? It's just one, right?
10:59And then the four are franchisees.
11:00Sino-sino pa yung mga itong mga four na ito last year?
11:05Yung pinakaunang mga franchises po namin is from Quiapo, May Pahokaloocan,
11:11Robinson's Malolos, and Tugigaraw.
11:14So, yun yung unang mga franchises po namin.
11:17Pero naglagay kayo sa Quiapo?
11:19So, hindi ba, hindi ka kinabahan?
11:22Kasi the market is, you're far from being a bazaar and then naglagay ka sa Alejandro Roses and then all of a sudden, you know, naging batang Quiapo kayo.
11:34Hindi ba? Parang ganun.
11:35Ano ang nakita mong na it will fit the concept yung coffee body sa Quiapo?
11:42Our target, sir, is students talaga.
11:46The younger generation, as you can see, our background here is bright talaga.
11:52So, ito yung sample or ito yung parang 3D model namin.
11:55Dahil yung aming concept talaga is bright, parang yung tipong napakasayang pumunta.
12:02Masasuggest ko din talaga na yung talagang younger generation dahil sila rin talaga yung mas hilig din sa coffee.
12:10Yun yung reason bakit napakasayang kami sa bandang U-belt.
12:15And then, you also expanded to Morita.
12:17I saw that post.
12:19Again, finding a spot that's difficult.

13:0970% of our customer is returning customer.

13:16Ah, sabi ko, paano nangyari yun?
13:18So, ibig sabihin, bumibili ng bumibili.
13:20And then, yung 30% is new.
13:23Ibig sabihin, nadagdag lang sila doon sa mga returning customer.
13:26And then, the market is growing.
13:28Kung baga parang, siguro, sa produkto, sa service,
13:33yun po yung nare-realize namin.
13:35Pero yung isa sa mga, maganda yung ginawa mo, sinabi mo, Mark, no?
13:40You analyze, no?
