Отработанное тепло Гамбурга: модель климатически нейтрального теплоснабжения?  В Гамбурге инновационный энергетический проект демонстрирует, как города могут стать климатически нейтральными, улавливая тепло, которое иначе пошло бы впустую. 00:06Before collecting the heat and using it for district heating,

00:09the heat was just cooled down.

00:11So we took water from the river Elbe

00:13and cooled down the heat that came from the process

00:16and it was used for nothing.

00:18It was just wasted.

00:20Then when in Hamburg a whole new district was built,

00:23we had this idea to work together with NSCity,

00:27who came to us to use the heat for warming households.

00:33In order for the project to be working,

00:35we needed a total retrofitting of the contact plant

00:38where the sulfuric acid is produced

00:40and we needed this big heat exchanger,

00:43pumps, pipes and all these things,

00:46very special steel and stones

00:49being able to absorb the heat combined with the acid.

00:57What would help to make it more economically feasible

01:00and maybe to make other industries follow our example

01:04would be if you could incentivize producing

01:09or using, it's already there,

01:12using this CO2-free heat by, for example,

01:15providing free allocations in the European emission trading system

01:19or developing some kind of green markets.
