07:50.
07:52No, they're not.
07:54.
07:56Oh, fuck the Liberals!
08:15Hey, Anthony, how you doing, mate?
08:18Good, I'm having a little bit of trouble hearing,
08:21but I'll wait till all the other questions go in.
08:23I'll come in and make sure I don't forget.
08:24And they'll remind me what's up and get a little bit more.
08:26Oh, actually, that's good.
08:37Would you guys like to shuffle a bit that way?
08:42As soon as one of the kids is here, I'll do it.
08:45Yeah, they'll see it.
08:47So, we'll just talk to them.
08:50Or do we just...
08:51Do you want to talk to these guys about it?
08:52So, I reckon the kids are just going to try and do it.
08:55So, we'll do it once and then...
08:56Yeah, it's all right.
08:56It's all right.
08:57Now, it probably gives me a second chance.
08:58Yeah, a bit of crackling.
08:59It's not a real start-off.
09:00Back up.
09:01It's not a real start-off.
09:02Yeah, it's all right.
09:03Yeah, it's all right.
09:04Now, it probably gives me a second chance.
09:06Yeah, a bit of crackling.
09:08Yeah.
09:09It's not a real start-off.
09:11It's not a real start-off.
09:12Yeah.
09:13Back up.
09:14Yeah.
09:15Yeah.
09:16Yeah.
09:17Yeah, thanks.
09:18Um, I'm your ally tonight.
09:20Looking good, guys.
09:21I told you guys about the Prime Minister's nodders.
09:23About the what?
09:24The Prime Minister has nodders.
09:25What's he talking about?
09:26You?
09:27The Prime Minister what?
09:28He has nodders.
09:29Like, he has a guy at their press conferences that nods at him and smiles and stuff and
09:34gives him encouragement.
09:35And then I got him, then when I stood up after him, I got these guys, like, encourage
09:39me when he's really not happy.
09:41That's exciting.
09:42It's not that journalists aren't great as well.
09:45I don't think we'd be, um, always quite as encouraging.
09:48No, that's right.
09:49Because someone else would look concerned at my answers.
09:51Yeah.
09:52I'm, um, I'm wearing sunglasses for this one, too.
09:56That's cool.
09:57All right.
09:58You guys ready?
09:59Yep.
10:00You ready?
10:01Ready?
10:02Yep.
10:03Good.
10:04Okay.
10:05Well, after, well, after 11 years of Liberals, it's time for a fresh start for Tasmania.
10:22And that means access to free bulk-building GPs in a town and suburb near where Tasmanians
10:27actually live.
10:28That means a plan to fix the budget.
10:30It means a plan for more housing and a plan for real action on cost of living relief.
10:34This is a plan for Tasmania to change for a fresh start after 11 years of the Liberals.
10:39I'll come to him this night.
10:40You ready to go?
10:41Off you go.
10:42You've got a question.
10:43Have I got it?
10:44Sorry.
10:45You're done.
10:46Yep.
10:47Yep.
10:48Yep.
10:49Sorry.
10:50Do you still back your decision to move no confidence in the Premier?
10:52Yeah, look, it's important that Tasmanians know they've got a political party that's
11:06got a plan to fix the budget.
11:08What the Liberals have been doing for 11 years is drive us towards $11 billion worth of net
11:12debt.
11:13And then we found out later it was $13 billion worth of net debt.
11:16Net debt which will cripple Tasmania's future.
11:19Net debt which meant that Tasmanians will pay $700 million a year just servicing debt instead
11:24of paying for schools and hospitals.
11:26So Tasmanian Labor stood up.
11:28We stood up to this Premier who had a reckless plan for Tasmania's future.
11:33Let's go.
11:34If you don't win, what's the miscalculation?
11:39We had to stand up and we will always stand up for Tasmanians who want a sustainable budget,
11:44who didn't want a Liberal government to sell their assets, and who didn't want a Liberal
11:48government who left our spirits on the wrong side of the world.
11:51This has been a government that has been synonymous with stuff ups, particularly when it comes
11:56to our spirits.
11:57Tasmanians expect a government that delivers what they promise.
12:00And Tasmanians are asking for change and a fresh start.
12:03A government that will fix the budget, won't sell their assets and will bring our spirits home.
12:07To my question though, if you don't win, was it a miscalculation?
12:10Well, we have to win for Tasmanians.
12:12We have to win to deliver a fresh start.
12:14The Liberals' plan for the budget is reckless.
12:16It will send Tasmania broke.
12:18And that's why we need a Tasmanian Labor government that's got a plan to fix the budget.
12:21You may not win though, and if you don't, is it a miscalculation?
12:24We have to win for Tasmanians.
12:26We have to win to deliver the fresh start that Tasmania needs.
12:29It's been 11 years for the Liberals.
12:31They've taken Tasmania from no net debt to $13 billion worth of net debt.
12:35We'll spend $700 million a year just servicing that debt.
12:39Under the Liberals, we'll spend more servicing debt than we do on our entire ambulance
12:43and emergency service departments in our hospitals combined.
12:46It's all very fair and worthwhile to say you have to win, but you might not.
12:49So if you don't, is it a miscalculation?
12:52We have to win this government for Tasmania.
12:55We can't afford the Liberals' reckless spending.
12:58We can't afford them to send our state broke.
13:00That's why we've run this campaign that's backed in by business, by unions,
13:04and the community sector when it comes to our plan to fix the budget.
13:07But most importantly, Tasmanians want better access to healthcare services.
13:11What Jeremy Rockliffe and the Liberals have been doing with health
13:14has been making Tasmanians sicker.
13:16We need to provide more services in towns and suburbs where Tasmanians live
13:19to take pressure off our hospitals.
13:21And that's why Tassie Dock is so important.
13:23We'll open 10 new Tassie Dock clinics around the state
13:26that will provide free bulk build services to Tasmanians
13:29when they need it, where they need it, for free.
13:31You haven't answered my question.
13:33What's your reaction to the latest EMRS polling?
13:36It looks favourable to the Liberals but also that the minority government is key.
13:40Well, Tasmanians want a fresh start and they want a new government.
13:43The best way to deliver that is to vote Labor.
13:46Voting Labor means you'll get access to free bulk build GPs closer to where you live.
13:51It means you'll get access to better housing through our planning reforms
13:54that will deliver thousands more homes and real cost of living relief
13:57that will support Tasmanian families.
13:59Are you ready to work in a minority government?
14:01We're ready to work with the parliament that Tasmanian gives us.
14:08I'll respect the vote of the Tasmanian people.
14:10But I want to provide a firm Labor government that delivers on Labor policies,
14:15Labor values for Tasmanian regional communities,
14:18people all over the state that are relying on having a government
14:21that's giving them a fresh start.
14:23Are you confident?
14:24I'm really confident Tasmanians are looking for a fresh start and they're looking for change.
14:29It's been 11 years of the Liberals.
14:30They've driven us towards $13 billion worth of net debt.
14:33They've left our spirits of Tasmania on the wrong side of the world.
14:35And they even tried to sell our energy assets that we built together for 100 years.
14:39Would you accept confidence in supply from the Greens if nothing was asked in return?
14:44We don't do deals with the Greens and we've demonstrated that for years now.
14:48We could have done a deal with the Greens six weeks ago and we'd already be in government.
14:52We don't do deals with the Greens and any government that I lead will be a Labor government delivering a Labor agenda.
14:58You've focused on health the last two weeks. Is that the winner?
15:01Well I think Tassie Docks has been really warmly received.
15:04Sorry, I'll start it again.
15:06Tassie Dock has been warmly received across the state.
15:09Places like Burnie, Devonport, here in Ravenswood.
15:11Places like Kings Meadows, in New Norfolk.
15:14In Risdon Vale, in Huonville, in Glenorchy.
15:19I'll start it again.
15:21Look, Tassie Dock has been warmly received right across the state in the north, northwest and in the south.
15:26This is a reform that delivers healthcare to Tasmanians close to where they live, that's bulk-billed.
15:31It'll be powered by Medicare so that Tasmanians can get access to a free bulk-billed doctor close to where they live.
15:37If Labor doesn't improve its position, would you stay on as leader?
15:41We need to win for Tasmanians. They can't afford more Liberal debt.
