The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will roll out a pilot rehabilitation course this November for Public Service Vehicle (PSV) and Goods Driving Licence (GDL) holders whose licences have been suspended.
JPJ director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli said the initiative, announced after a road safety engagement session with the Association of Lorry Operators and Express Tourism Bus Operators in Bangi, Selangor, on Thursday (July 17), aims to give affected drivers a chance to undergo rehabilitation before their licence eligibility is reviewed.
Initially, the programme will apply only to PSV and GDL holders, with plans to expand it later to Malaysian Driving Licence (LMM) holders.
