The lucky one
Transcript
00:00This soldier was resting on the battlefield when he suddenly noticed a light shining in the
00:04distance. He picked it up and found it was a photo of a beautiful woman. So he put the photo into his
00:09pocket. But the next second, the spot where he was standing was hit by a shell. When he woke up
00:13again, he was the only one left alive in his unit. A medic handed him a photo. I saw you pick it up.
00:19Looks like it saved you. Got yourself a guardian angel. She's not mine. And Jack tried to return
00:28it to its owner. But after asking for months, no one claimed it. His teammates all said the woman
00:33in the photo was his lucky goddess. If he made it out alive, he should thank her properly. Just as
00:38he said that, another shell hit and Jack survived again. In those war-torn days, the photo seemed to
00:43have some magical power, guarding him in the darkness, keeping him alive until the war ended.
00:48Jack returned home with a tired soul, but he found it hard to adjust to life after the war. One day,
00:53when his nephew called him to get up, he instinctively pushed him back onto the bed.
00:57Jack was troubled by this. He had no outlet for the emotions inside him, and his life felt like it
01:02had lost its former self. So he decided to find the lucky goddess in the photo, hoping to find a
01:07reason for his survival. And so, he and a dog set off on an uncertain journey, passing through several
01:13cities, and eventually found the lighthouse from the photo. After asking around, he learned that the
01:18woman's name was Anna, and she ran a pet farm on the outskirts of town. Jack rushed over there, and when
01:23he saw Anna walking, she looked like an angel, leaving him momentarily stunned. Before he could
01:27explain why he was there, Anna thought he was there for a job. When she learned that Jack had
01:32walked 1,500 kilometers to get there, she thought he was a little crazy and wanted her grandmother to
01:37send him away. But her grandmother thought Jack was a great guy and decided to let him stay. So Jack
01:51rented a rundown warehouse nearby, working hard every day, cleaning the messy dog kennels, and fixing up an
01:57old tractor that hadn't been used in years. In just a few days, he won the grandmother's favor. But Anna
02:03remained resistant to Jack. He always seemed to be staring at her. Every time he saw Anna,
02:08his war-torn heart would calm down.
