The Road Transport Department (JPJ) is in the final stages of reviewing the Demerit Points System for Traffic Offences (Kejara), aimed at removing repeat and dangerous drivers from the road.

JPJ director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli said the move is part of a major overhaul of the Kejara system, as recently announced by Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

Speaking after a road safety engagement session with the Association of Lorry Operators and Express Tourism Bus Operators in Bangi, Selangor, on Thursday (July 17), Aedy said the system's revamp will help enhance road safety through stricter enforcement.
