00:00My name is Khalil Malas. I'm flying to my home country, Syria, Free Syria. I have been
00:18away for like 40 years. This is my second trip in two months. It's getting much better now.
00:29And I hope it's going to get really, really much better with the new president.
00:43We're so happy to reconnect Damascus with our network. Damascus is an old route which we had
00:52been open in 1988 and we continue growing in that market and we suspend our operation in 2012
01:02with double daily flight, which is 14 flights a week. Now we are happy. I think the entire situation
01:09has changed and we decided to reconnect. We're going to operate three flights weekly right now. We're
01:16going to increase the capacity to four. And from October, we're going to go daily flight. And
01:22the demand is very strong. We have seen a huge demand. And so this is the opportunity to connect
01:29Damascus with Dubai and to manage a place for, especially now with the sanctions is almost
01:35cleared. I think there is a huge opportunity for investors to come and fly over. Plus the
01:40Syrian themselves who's been abroad and they live abroad, they will have a smooth, smoothless connection
01:49and using Emirates to come back home.
01:58We can contribute as Syrians living abroad to the economy of Syria and to rebuilding Syria and
02:04hopefully to have it as the start of the training.
