00:11The palace clarified that it has not received any formal communications from Interpol

00:15regarding arrest warrants for individuals linked to former President Rodrigo Duterte

00:20in the ICC's Crimes Against Humanity case.

00:23This follows the course that an arrest could proceed if the ICC issues a warrant

00:28and is backed by an Interpol red notice.

00:31Duterte was reportedly arrested on March 11 after returning from Hong Kong

00:35and is now in ICC custody.

00:37Senator Ronald Bato de la Rosa is among those identified as a co-accused in the drug war case.

00:43Palace Press Officer Claire Castrom made the clarification in a press briefing

00:47emphasizing that as of now, no red notices or formal requests have reached the Philippine government.

00:52Her statement aimed to temper public speculation

00:55and stresses that official due process must be followed

00:59before any arrests of Duterte's alleged co-perpetrators could occur.

01:03The executive secretary, Lucas Bersemen, also earlier noted

01:06that enforcement of ICC warrants would require international cooperation.

01:11The palace reiterated the need to await official confirmation before drawing conclusions.

01:16Meanwhile, supporters of Duterte have condemned the arrest as politically motivated.
