00:00Hello everybody, my name is Lily. I'm seven years old and I've had scoliosis when I was three years old.
00:08And today I'm going to show you how to not be scared of wearing your cast.
00:13And this is my cast. It's shaped like sweets and it's love heart shaped.
00:20What does your cast help you?
00:22It helps me get my back straight and it also helps you not to be bendy.
00:28And then you turn around. I put my hair up like that.
00:34But I'm going to do it like this today.
00:37And then yeah, then we're going to go like this.
00:42Then like that. Put this under your arm.
00:45And then I put my hair down because I've got very long hair.
00:49And then you push big tops in if you've got long tops.
00:55So really we would do this with a vest, wouldn't we?
01:00Yeah, but today I'm showing you how to do it without a vest.
01:06So what do we do now?
01:06So you put them in here like that.
01:12And then me and my mum, well my dad usually does it.
01:19But my mum's going to do it today because my daddy's at work.
01:23So first you put these in here and then you squeeze it and then you have to get it all the way to there.
01:34And it is a bit tight and it will hurt just a little bit.
01:38But today, if you've got a bit like no pressure, ask Donna, my doctor, to put some pressure in.
01:48Like I've got loads of pressure.
01:50Like padding.
01:51And it will help you to be comfortable.
01:53Lovely.
01:54Right.
01:55So what game do you play with daddy?
01:57So you squeeze it and then you get this and you put it all the way to there.
02:06And then mum does it and then this.
02:10That's how you do it.
02:12Give everybody a 12.
