Prince Harry raises landmine awareness in Angola like Diana
Prince Harry returns to Angola to support a British landmine clearing charity, The Halo trust, repeating a famous trip made by his mother the late Princess Diana, in 1997. During his visit the Duke of Sussex also helped deliver life-saving messages to children in a remote village near Cuito Cuanavale. According to the charity at least 60,000 people have been killed or injured by landmines in the country since 2008, and despite clearing over 120,000 landmines and 100,000 bombs, at least 80 Angolans have been killed by the devices in the last five years.
