Taiwan's defense ministry says it detected 58 Chinese aircraft and 10 Chinese vessels operating near Taiwan in the 24 hours leading up to Thursday morning. Of those aircraft, 45 breached Taiwan's Air Defense Identification Zone.

00:15Forty-five of those aircraft entered Taiwan's Air Defense Identification Zone, or ADIZ.
00:20This area isn't Taiwan's airspace but acts as a buffer zone for defensive purposes.
00:25Nine Chinese naval vessels and one official ship were also detected.
00:29The incursions come as Taiwan holds its largest annual military exercises to date and conducts
00:34urban resilience drills around the country.
