The Senate resolution calling for the interim release and subsequent house arrest of the International Criminal Court (ICC)-Rodrigo Duterte only proves the point of the drug war victims' families. (Video courtesy of House of Representatives)
00:00I have a reaction to the Senate that they pushed against the former President Pierre Ardy.
00:30It would also be detrimental to the cost that they're actually pushing because the victims, the family of the victims, also saying to the ICC that the reason why they're opposing the interim release of the former President is because once he's out, although closely monitored, he might use some degree of influence that he still enjoys.
00:53So having some senators, you know, adopting this kind of resolution, it would reinforces the argument of the family of the victims that indeed the former President still managed to master some control and influence, no less than the Senate of the Philippines.
01:10So it is a double-edged sword. It could be detrimental. It could be a disadvantage just to the very cost that they're trying to pursue, which I guess, for me, if you ask me personally,
01:22may reinforce the argument of the families of the victims.
