00:00Back in 1972, we did an album called Living in the Past, which was to be a compilation of music that had been released already, but not necessarily in every country.
00:12Some of it was singles and b-sides and various things.
00:15Beautiful box containing lots of fabulous things. We called it still Living in the Past.
00:21Here we have in this beautiful, thick book, that one, first of all, it's got a lot of pages of information.
00:30Importantly, it's got all the original mixes, the Stephen Wilson stereo remixes, the Stephen Wilson 5.1 surround mixes, and it has the Leidman Carnegie Hall Part 1 and Part 2, again, remixed by Stephen Wilson and beautifully presented here in a fabulous book.
00:50So, um, and he says he's remastered them in 24-bit, 96k sample rate. He must have a bigger computer than me.
01:01Hello, it's Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull to unbox, as they say in the trade, some wonderful new reissues of an album originally released back in 1972.
01:15So, we have the, uh, the super new, uh, vinyl version of this. Primarily, of course, these are the Stephen Wilson remixes on vinyl, and we have a lot of those great songs from the early days, like a song for Geoffrey, and a Christmas song, a love story, living in the past, bourrée, sweet dream, as well as the, the oddities.
01:35So, uh, we have this fabulous new version, which has got all those remixes. It is, they say, mastered at half speed. A much better quality of vinyl mix.
01:46It should be pretty much indistinguishable from a 24-bit audio master in the digital world.
01:54So, uh, for the vinyl collectors, this is the reissued living in the past. Looks like a good one.
02:00So, a fabulous box set, as it was Jethro Tull back then, still living in the past.
02:07You're welcome.
