00:00I brought out my own gin. It's all to do with my town, Ponty Fract. I'm born and raised in Ponty Fract.
00:06I just thought, you know, Ponty's on the up at the minute and it needs its own premium drink.
00:11And here we are, the Pompfret gin.
00:14I was working in someone's house and I saw a bottle of Manchester gin.
00:18And I was like, something like twigged in my head to say, well, Manchester gin.
00:24Why haven't Ponty Fract got its own gin, you know, because we've obviously got the flavour,
00:27we've got the history, the heritage, we've got the nightlife now, the town's back, booming again.
00:34So I just thought it was like the perfect storm in a way, just all come together and the timing was great.
00:41So, yeah, I just thought we'd go for it and it's been great so far.
00:44So we literally launched last week on the Thursday, I think it was.
00:49So we've had a full weekend of it and it's gone great.
00:52Loads of interest, loads of stockists, everyone's jumped on board with it.
00:56The town's got behind it.
00:58And, yeah, it's been, actually, it's been better than what I thought.
01:01So the main flavour is licorice.
01:04It's a subtle hint of licorice.
01:06It's not too overpowering because we know it can be, licorice can be quite, you know, it can be quite strong.
01:12But like I said, licorice is like the flavour of the town really.
01:14Obviously, we've got the Pompfret cakes.
01:16Licorice was made in the medieval times.
01:19You know, so it's a big part of the town's heritage by the licorice festival at the weekend.
01:24Thousands came for that.
01:25So, yeah, we wanted to make the main, the original bottle was going to start off with licorice.
01:31So it's distilled.
01:33It's not distilled in Pontifracts.
01:35There's no distilleries here.
01:36So we've had to use a different one.
01:38They're called Hawkeridge.
01:40But, you know, they're the best of the best.
01:43They're made called Alcohol for Royal Family.
01:46They've got a lot of big personalities down there, big celebrities.
01:50There's a few A-listers down there, actually.
01:52So we purposely picked them because we wanted to make the most premium gym we could find, basically.
01:58And honestly, the feedback's been brilliant so far.
