00:00We now come to questions to Prime Minister Jacob Collier.
00:03There's always been support across this House for the United Kingdom fulfilling our obligations to Afghans who served alongside British forces.
00:14We warned in opposition about Conservative management of this policy, and yesterday the Defence Secretary set out the full extent of the failings that we inherited.
00:25A major data breach, a super injunction, a secret route that has already cost hundreds of millions of pounds.
00:35Ministers who served under the party opposite have serious questions to answer about how this was ever allowed to happen.
00:43The Chair of the Defence Committee has indicated that he intends to hold further inquiries.
00:48I welcome that, and hope that those who were in office at the time will welcome that scrutiny.
00:55So why don't we go through his end-of-term scorecard?
01:03The economy is contracting.
01:06Inflation highest in the G7.
01:08Unemployment up every month under this government.
01:12Spending out of control.
01:14Borrowing costs more expensive than Greece.
01:16And this is just the first year, Mr Speaker.
01:19The Labour Party should be ashamed of what it is doing to the country.
01:22We are happily going to go to our constituents.
01:27We are going to tell them we promised two million extra NHS appointments, and we delivered four million extra appointments.
01:34Mr Speaker, I have got to upgrade that.
01:36It is now four and a half million extra appointments.
01:39So we are going to tell our constituents that.
01:41Then we are going to tell them about the free school meals we are enrolling about.
01:44The free breakfast clubs.
01:45The free childcare and school uniform costs.
01:47We will tell them about that.
01:49And then when we have done that, we will move on to affordable houses and tell them about the £39 billion we are investing.
01:55And road upgrades across the country.
01:58The £120 billion investment.
02:00And Mr Speaker, we are only just getting started.
02:03The world is looking on in horror at the scenes from Gaza.
02:12And now Netanyahu's ministers want to lock the whole population of Gaza into effectively a giant prison.
02:20A plan that would clearly amount to ethnic cleansing, as former Israeli Prime Minister Olmert has said.
02:30Does the Prime Minister agree that this is utterly abhorrent and unacceptable?
02:35And will he make clear to the Israeli Government that the UK will not stand idly by and will act,
02:41starting by sanctioning Prime Minister Netanyahu himself?
02:45I am appalled by these suggestions in relation to Gaza,
02:53just as I am appalled by the reports of yet more civilians being killed whilst trying to access aid.
02:59So on both fronts, I am appalled by what we are seeing and what we are hearing.
03:03We raise it regularly, as he would expect.
03:05In relation to the civilians being killed, I would expect them to be fully and transparently investigated
03:10with full accountability for any failings.
03:13And Israel must clearly put in place measures that properly protect civilians in line with international law.
03:21And that is the case we are pressing repeatedly.
03:23We do also want to see in a long...
03:25Speaker, the Prime Minister will never know exactly how...
