00:00I am doing everything I can to try to get vert half-pipe skating added to the Olympics, yes.
00:05Because I think that vert skating is a discipline that's been overlooked in the last 10 years,
00:11and it's only gotten better.
00:13It's much more advanced in terms of aerial tricks, in terms of technique, than park skating.
00:21And I mean that, I don't mean disrespect, I just mean that when you're looking at what's happening on vert,
00:27people are doing 1080s on vert, the most we've ever seen anybody spin in a park event is a 540.
00:34So I feel like vert deserves to be on that same level as park skating.
00:39I mean, I created an event, a vert alert, that we do every year, now we're doing our fifth year,
00:44and when we did that, it was the only vert event of the year.
00:48Now there are five, six events each year, and some that are included in the World Cup skating.
00:57So, I feel like something's happening.
00:59What do you think of skateboarding being added to the Olympic Games?
01:03I think it's long overdue.
01:05I think that skateboarding has been there for a long time.
01:09It had all of the elements of competition, of international participation,
01:16and I think that at some point the Olympics needed skateboarding more than skateboarding in the Olympics.
01:22What is the sport on the Olympics?
