00:11Let's dive into the snubs and surprises. Squid Game, which won six Emmys for its first season
00:17in 2022, saw its second season completely absent from this year's nominations. And Yellow Jackets,
00:23which landed 10 nominations for its first two seasons, received zero for its third recently
00:28wrapped season. Past performance category winners who didn't receive nominations this year include
00:33Ted Danson, Jon Hamm, and Elizabeth Moss. While The Handmaid's Tale was once adored by Emmy voters,
00:40it scored only one nomination for Cherry Jones's guest role, leaving out the rest of its acclaimed
00:44cast. Other surprising omissions from the acting categories include Andor star Diego Luna, Selena
00:51Gomez, who was not nominated for her starring role in Only Murders in the Building after making the
00:55cut in the acting category last year, and the handful of White Lotus actors not nominated,
01:00including Patrick Schwarzenegger, Michelle Monaghan, and Leslie Bibb. In terms of surprises,
01:05Megan Fahey was a somewhat unexpected inclusion in the Best Actress in a Limited Series category
01:10for her role in Sirens. And while Uzo Aduba's performance in The Residence was acclaimed,
01:16the show's cancellation after just one season makes her nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy Series
