Marathon legend Fauja Singh has died at the age of 114. Known as 'Turbaned Tornado', Singh was reportedly hit by a vehicle while crossing a road in Jalandhar, Punjab, at approximately 3:30 pm yesterday.

00:15Having taken up running at 89 to cope with personal grief, Singh went on to inspire the world running marathons across continents, even carrying the Olympic torch in 2012.
00:25Author, Kushwan Singh, who wrote Forja Singh's biography, confirmed the news after speaking with Singh's family, sharing his grief in a social media post, expressing sorrow over the loss of someone he deeply revered.
